Anyone comparing this to Lara fight is just stupid. Canelo actually fought in the pocket and you ain't running when you lump up the other guys face and almost snap his head off his neck about a dozen times. He literally invited GGG to the ropes numerous times something Lara never did and he actually outlanded GGG in power shots while lara was virtually doubled up in power punches landed. Canelo landed more body shots, more power shots and landed by far the cleaner harder shots. You can't say that about lara because he literally ran and did nothing else and landed nothing significant.
Except, both fights are comparable. Just like how Erislandy lara couldn't dissuade Canelo Alvarez from constantly applying pressure and coming forward, Canelo Alvarez couldn't also do it to Golovkin either. For all of Canelo's so called 'better' punches, Golovkin still continued to come forward and attack Canelo consistently. Golovkin was still not dissuaded or prevented by Canelo's so called 'better' punches from applying his pressure. So what Lara did to Canelo was similar to what Canelo did to Golovkin.

I thought GGG won and I was hoping he would win by KO but I was surprised he got a draw. I thought he was going to get screwed like Lara. But, at least Canelo looked upset after fight lol. I wish I could of seen De La Hoya's face.
GGG got a draw cos he clearly won. If that fight was genuinely a draw, the judges would have given Canelo the decision.
We all know how it works.
I wouldn't even call what Canelo did as running, he just literally was too exhausted to take the center ring (where he was looking good) and reverted back to the ropes to get peppered and occasionally counter. I really thought GGG would get him there but he was too hesitant to pull the trigger when he had a tired guy on the ropes.
Canelos just a arrogant fraud
Nelo was just trying to survive and in that sense he was successful he was so lucky to get a draw.
Can you imagine if thoomy hearns fought like that against hagker? He might also have survived but it wouldn't be one of greatest fights. Yearns went down fighting, nelo diudnt
i respectfully disagree
I have no problem with you disagreeing with my last statement which was my own opinion.
However, my opinion is also most other people's and that is a fact. The VAST majority of pros, pundits, fans and casuals considered GGG the clear winner.
If you feel Canelo won I have no beef with that. It was a very good fight with great moments. However when my opinion differs to almost everyone else's I would immediately ask myself why that was especially if most expert opinion opposed mine.
Good luck to you fella.

a draw in vegas over canelo is a win!
I'm just talking in general terms. It's always been viewed by the opponent who is challenging for championships that a draw is equivalent to a loss because the result is the same, they still have no championship titles at the end of the fight and the champion remains the champion.
So yes, Canelo came up short, myself I had Triple G winning 8-4 or 7-5
Wish the Boxing Media wasn't full of Submissive little B1tches who suck up for Creditials because I would like for someone to ask Oscar about that because he runs his mouth about Mayweather style being boring. Where was the Explosive Hagler vs Hearns type of WAR he promised? He Said it wasn't going passed 12 and that somebody would be Knocked Out :lol1:
I have no problem with what Canelo was doing because I understand what he was doing but I also understood what Lara was doing vs Canelo and I defended him as well. Fans, Boxing Media, Promoters are not CONSISTENT!
