I saw the fight here in my home country (Panama) with some friends and we all thought canelo won, also a lot of pol who watched the fight thought the same (friends that are casuals mostly thought GGG won - but ppl who watch boxing regularly mostly told me canelo won) but then I go in the U.S. sites and social media and everybody is claiming GGG got robbed. One thing that ocurred to me is maybe they are being victims of watching the fight under a biased narrative by Jim Lampley, which is usual, was this case last night??
The only boxer That can box going backwards AND get the best of you is mayweather. Lots of people hate his fights. I don't buy them but I can't argue with him winning. Canelo tried hard to imitate mayweather. he COULDN'T DO IT WELL ENOUGH. His success was on the inside. GGG was more on the outside. Why in the hell did canelo JUMP OUT of the inside when he had total control? Mayweather doesn't. He WALKS YOU DOWN. Canelo NEVER walked down GGG. Canelo was too Leary of being hit by a guy who hits only as hard as himself. GGG was getting tagged and walked through canelos punches like a robot. He expected to get hit. Canelo ISNT use to it.
Eh? He shows obvious bias. We should believe edited videos put together by a nuthugging fan? GTFOH you window licker.
Can't trust Compubox. Can't trust this. Can't trust anyone, except DLH.
Who? Is that the biased youtuber that nuthugs Pacquiao and Golovkin? If it is are you retarded? Look at his damn videos.

If he has one video incorrect, he has all his video incorrect. Solid logic, there.

I was thinking the same thing because I had on HBO but we didn't have the volume on. We all thought Canelo won.
GGG literally set career lows in almost all punch stats. Career low in overall punches missed, career low in jabs missed, career low in connect rates, career low in body punches landed, ect.
That's not true.
He landed fewer jabs vs Murray.
No he didnt. Lol Oh really so you and the rest of the GGG fans werent playing the look at his face and look at GGG face to justify GGG deserving the controversial win over jacobs?
Oh looky here

Oh I see when it suits GGG and his opponent face is marked up its clear sign he won a close fight but when his face is lumped up and his opponent isn't oh why does it matter you cant judge winner by that SMH
Lol, you're desperate.I didn't say anything about the facial damage being evidence of Golovkin's victory as you tried to do.
You obviously didn't see the fight....and what's this with the faces being messed up? hahaha....Why don't you measure the blood that was coming out of their mouth and noses to determine the winner. :pat:
Canelo looked pretty much the same as Golovkin at the end..., as it even matters. We're playing the "casual fans" game now.

That's it right there. Jacobs did a good job avoiding getting hit with Golovkin's best shots. Props to him for that.
On a side note. Danny has been looking mighty Oriental since Saturday night.

GGG literally set career lows in almost all punch stats. Career low in overall punches missed, career low in jabs missed, career low in connect rates, career low in body punches landed, ect. And he didn't do more damage look at his face and then look at Canelo's and GGG was supposed to be the bigger puncher yet Canelo landed more power shots and at a higher connect rate and lumped up GGG's face. He was busy but completely ineffective. Only punch he outlanded Canelo with is jabs and most of the ones he didn't miss he landed but were grazing or pawing. When he loaded up on shots he missed while Canelo landed more clean hard effective shots.

What are you using for your basis as far as landed punches. He landed 4 less power shots overall according to Compubox. He landed significantly more jabs and more punches.
One of the arguments why Golovkin won overall was he was the busier guy, he was the agressor and ultimately because of that he landed more punches.
116-112, could go with 115-113. Canelo didn't win 6 rounds, he was lucky to win more than 2 clearly. Every round he won IMO was close. Had he been a little more consistent and not fought in spurts he could definitely have won in my book.
He landed fewer overall power punches but more telling is he was outlanded in power punches 7 of the 12 rounds according to compubox. Out landed in body shots as well so the only edge he had was literally in jabs he was outlanded in all other punches and even jabs where he was more ineffective throwing that punch then we have ever seen him. missed a career high jabs and had career lows in landing percent. So he pressured sure but wasn't effective landing anything clean even the jabs that he did get through canelos defense were mostly grazing or pawing with nothing on it.
Canelo landed more clean shots, more hard shots and made GGG miss badly or land only jabs most that were partially blocked or were flicking arm punches with nothing on it.
The whole world had Ca$hnelo winning, except the United States and Afghanistan. Afghanistan is a given since Borat is from there and who takes the United States seriously? This is a country that allows police to gun down black people in the streets like they're dogs, attempts to ban Muslims, wants to kick out college educated immigrants so the loser NASCAR fans can feel better about their trailer park reality, tells women that they do not control their own bodies, and defends white weirdos that are domestic terrorists, yet pretends they're the moral police of the world, :pat:.
All US tv is propaganda and agenda based. Truth is no longer allowed on American TV

I watched the fight in a bar in Tijuana Mexico with 200 Mexicans. No, it was clear most did not think Canelo won. You heard it in words and you heard it in the vibe in the room. Just read the comments in Spanish on social media on his own pages. Of course you got the haters but lot of just you didn't win.

It's hard for fans to put aside their bias when they watch a fight.
Most media outlets in the US scored the fight for Golovkin, a few scored it a draw. I'm sure a few gave Alvarez the win, but I haven't seen any. I doubt if HBO commentary had a lot to do the boxing media's scoring.
HBO is definately biased towards certain fighters. I didnt watch the English broadcast and I thought the fight could have gone either way watching it live. Didnt score the rounds but Canelo had success early in the fight & later rounds. Thought GGG was on his way to a KO around round 6 or 7 but Canelo came back strong.
I felt th
I keep hearing about Golovkin missing so many punches. He also connected on many punches. Judges don't deduct points for missed punches. What matters is, who did the most damage in each respective round. This is FIGHTING, not gymnastics or ballet (it's not about looking pretty).
