Canelo is taking the tougher challenge here by far. This is his 3rd weight class in 7 years. He's had 50 fights and just 1 against a true MW in Chavez (we all know Cotto is a 154lber and has yet to return to 160).
Now in barely his 2nd fight against a true MW he's facing ggg.
ggg on the other hand has had 11 years to move from 160 and has REFUSED despite calling out people in lower and higher divisions. Canelo is his 3rd opponent in 2 years that has fought over 95% of his competition at lower weights.
ggg fighting yet ANOTHER opponent that has little to no experience at 160, Canelo joins Brook and Lemieux.
Canelo is taking the bigger risk here, his 3rd weight class over a champion. ggg? fighting just another inexperienced MW.
LMAO. Goes on to say he knows what ggg weighs in a photo online where he's about 15 feet away from the camera man. Cut throat might be one of the dumbest posters on this forum besides mirko troll crop.
Pretty stupid comment from cutthroat
ggg is a great win for Canelo, Canelo just a good win for ggg

Now: Canelo is the only big money fight for GGG... He has to win this one, in order to get even a bigger money fight in the rematch! :)
How the fuk would you know what he weighs in the pic, your just guessing, no more no less

don't know who you're talking about
Never. I've always felt ggg is the favorite this fight, it's Canelo moving up in barely his 2nd true MW opponent. ggg is the guy fighting the much smaller fighter, in his natural division.
Who do you think is taking the bigger risk this fight? Don't you feel the man taking the greater risk should deserve a better reward?
Murry :lol1: dont act like you didn't ****ing say that
We got into a whole debate where I was telling you how G cuts off the ring
Hilarious and ridiculous to read that somehow Golovkin himself (his team members don't count) has called out boxers from other divisions when no evidence is provided that such is the case. So the members of his team do it, but somehow that equates to GGG himself doing it? What kind of logic is this?
GGG is not responsible for what his team members or any body else says. GGG's plan has clearly been from the start to become the undisputed middleweight champion in the world. So how is that something to be criticized for?
Yes. How dare a fighter than can comfortably make his weight class stay in it. I'm sure with your logic Canelo moved up from Welter because he had to "challenge" himself. It's not like fighters in this era drain themselves as much as they can to get an advantage. I swear to god some of you people look ****ing retarded when you talk about fighters you don't like. What? Golovkin has to fight Ward at 175 to cement his legacy or he's a bum?
This! Thumbs up from me. I totally agree!

He's pushing around 190 in this pic easy.
The weigh in photos showed ggg's the bigger man and how gaunt he is when he makes 160 compared to Canelo.
Canelo is carrying a ton of muscle for a reason and it's because his frame is naturally smaller.
So you have no proof.
k.
You clearly dont know what you're talking about, desperately drawing for 'hes not a real MW doe'
He's been exploiting smaller opponents for years by massively outweighing them in the ring, hes 170/180 in the ring and you claim hes not a middleweight lmao :lol1:
The fight was at 164, Chavez was a drained light heavy not a MW.
Canelo has 0 wins over actual MW opponents, this is his 1st fight against a true MW and it's against ggg. He's taking all the risks. Like you said, Canelo is just some weight bully from a lower division.
We all know that was more of an exhibition match than an actual fight, Chavez hadn't made anything below 168 in over 5 years.
Just admit it, Canelo is taking the bigger risk here. Canelo wins and he's 3 weight champion. ggg wins and it's just another win over another JMW.

No he isnt he's moving down, he just fought at 164 :lol1:

lmao, didnt you say canelo was going to win? these race baiters and ward fanboys are having meltdowns already :lol1:

Bone density, hydration, many things make a difference, if you look at the weigh in pics from today, you will see that golovkin looked a lot bigger than canelo yet they weighed the same, your just guessing that ggg was 190 in that pic and I'm sure it will be an excuse you use within the next 24hrs
Based off his height, muscle mass and gut, that's what a dude that weighs 190 looks like.
For perspective Paul Smith, practically the same size as ggg didn't bother making weight for his fight with Ward and weighed 184 hours before the fight, around 190 in the ring, and he looked slimmer than ggg.
