what shocked me most was Floyd missing early on. expected him to land easily. later on he did. expected his cross and jab to come out faster than anything Mcgregor is used to, and with 0 tell (skill).
Conors has no power
Got walked down by a much smaller older man
I thought Conor would be chasing Floyd and the opposite happened
I will safely say anyone at 154 destroys Conor via KO
Floyd looked so small in there, but to see him walk someone down like that was great
Conor was basically a punching bag after the 5th round due to daigue, of course Floyd walked him down.
Too bad Connor has major stamina issues cause if he didn't Floyd would have been in trouble. It would have been a very competitive fight. Connor has only himself to blame. Too much smoking drinking and whores
Only in the fact that so many MMA fans were saying McGregor would win, when it was obvious straight away that he had no chance. It was obvious very early that McGregor didn't have the power to significantly trouble Mayweather, and then he got tired ridiculously early.
It was obvious he was getting stopped, and Mayweather was just smiling and walking him down, whilst McGregor threw pathetic arm punches. McGregor actually did worse than I thought he would.
So outside factors made it more entertaining, the fight itself was predictable, and it was only a matter of time before he got stopped.
There was a moment, maybe in the 2nd round, when Mcgregor was wide open and Mayweather was coming in with a straight right. At the last second he dropped his hand and hit him in the chest instead of the chin.
Mayweather was just messing around for most of the fight.
Mcgregor clearly lacks boxing technique (arm-punching) and punches in slow-motion... but he's not a boxer so yeah, we all knew that.
How could anyone claim to be surprised with Conor's lack of power after seeing him In training? Conor does have a good jab, good timing and throws from different angles, but he has no power and his stamina Is pitiful.
I was entertained. It was obvious that Connor was gassed and that lead to his downfall. He surprised me with some skill.
He surprised me with his boxing skills too. On the other hand Floyd looked really bad....Not sure if that's age or if Mayweather was just not that serious. I think it probably had to do with Floyd being shot and McGregor being a better boxer than many of us would have expected.
McGregor's Achilles heal is his stamina. He'll never be a world class pro boxer if he can't vastly improve in that capacity.
I was surprised too. If I was managing him I would advise him to stay in boxing. He can make a killing. Way more in UFC thats for sure
Who can he honestly beat at 154?
Floyd is 2 years retired, stood in the pocket the entire fight, was never once hurt or wobbled
The size difference was clear as day, looked like Rocky vs Hulk Hogan
The boxers at 154 hit harder and are much bigger....

It's difficult to be a Mayweather fan and enjoy that, I struggled watching a diminished Hopkins and the same happened watching Mayweather tonight. I'm just glad Mayweather ended him and that this is his last fight.
Anyone who watched him in MMA and knows a bit of boxing can tell he has something that a lot of top boxers dont even have.
He controls distance very well and his timing is elite.
