Judging by the number of disparaging threads on here, yes. But why? You say he ducked so and so, which I don't believe he did, but so have other boxers, yet he is reviled beyond belief. It's understandable if you don't like watching him fight. I don't like watching Ward, but the hate for Mayweather borders on the pathological. What has he done to you, personally, that warrants such malice?
I'm no Floyd fan at all but I have no problem admitting his greatness and the fact that he is indeed the clear cut best of his generation.
And the person at the top of their respective sport will always be hated the most.
Look at LeBron, look at Tom Brady, look at Nick Saban (obviously not a player but still the face of the most dominant football program in the country), look at the Yankees when they were a dynasty, look at the Dallas Cowboys when they were a dynasty. It's just how it works.
He deserves to be hated. Its never a fair fight. He has the ref, judges, gloves, venue, usada,Tues in his favor.
I couldn't have said it any better. The guy is lame as fuvk. What ever happens to earning it the right way in sports?
Nah, more like typical stupidity from you. Need to study more son.
Wow, again the Asian using intelligence as crutch because that's all he has.
I have a college education, but was smart enough to drop it to pursue my own venture. But thanks for the advice. Are you a pinoy?
I'm gonna say yeah, in terms of the amount of people who hate him mostly due to technological advances allows him to be the most hated boxer ever.
Think about it, he makes more money than any boxer ever and he does it because the vast majority of people watch all of his fights exclusively because they want to see him lose.
Every time Mayweather wins people hate him more for it.
This is what makes it so funny. The more people hate him, the more money he makes. In a way it's genius, he's got people who come on places like here every single day of the year and give him free promotion, all day every day. :lol1:
Meanwhile other boxers can't get anyone to pay to watch them. Of course people don't want to be hated but there's clearly a lot more money in it if you know how to play the game and get people to talk about you. I would do it, way more money.
*Roger Mayweather voice.
You don't know ****, about boxing.
Lol, I knew you'd come around.
Typical non nonsensical response from a triggered Asian fan.
I just love to yank you guys' chain, but really, get rid of that inferiority complex, it's getting annoying.

Don't think so. Johnson and Ali lived during times of racial segregation and were loudmouthed boxers who openly opposed racism, with Ali getting sentenced to jail (he never served the time though). Pretty sure people hated 'em more than Floyd, although I do think racism does factor into the hate Floyd receives too. Not gonna lie though, he is not the most charismatic guy around and beating his girlfriend or wife was pathetic.
The answer to your question is yes and here are the reasons why.
1. He's black (There's still a lot of racist people, especially online)
2. He's rich beyond most people's wildest dreams and shows it off (Jealousy)
3. He's outspoken and says what he wants (People HATE this)
4. He's the best and has got the game figured out, plus there's nobody who can f"ck with him, whenever we think there is, he makes a mockery of us by making them look stupid and they are never the same after. Ruined.
5. He dominated two eras and has easily beat a lot of people's favorite fighters. He's so much better than anyone else in the sport that it's hard to even get him an exciting fight because it's basically one guy hitting and not getting hit back, not the most exciting thing. But in all of boxing history there's never been anyone as dominant. 26 fights against world champions and only 2 were even close. :hail:
There's lots of other reasons but these are the main ones. It will change once he retires though, all these people will start to miss him. The same thing happened with Ali. People HATED him when he was at the top then when he retired all these haters jumped on his nuts. Expect the same thing to happen with Mayweather.
Because floyd is a pure technical boxer who mastered the art and is hard to figure out. Plus his public image he sells his fights with. Floyds a nice guy after the fight, but before the fight he always acts like an *******. Its his way to sell the fight, a great strategy
He's just so dam unlovable his dad used him as a human shield when he was little kid and a golddigger aborted his twins.Imagine how despicable he must be for a goldigger to abort that jackpot
