We know for a fact punching power is gifted. It cannot be trained.
Idiots saying Guerrero trained his entire life punching therefore he punches harder. False. Malignaggi trained an entire life too so did Andre Ward but they both punch like nutless phaggets.
Mcgregor has 18 KOs in 21 wins all in either the 1st or 2nd round. this is a very astounding statistic. What is Guerrero's KO% within 3 rounds? does he have any?
Give or take the opposition is lower than boxing opponents, HOWEVER you have to keep in mind he's also throwing fewer punches due to kicks. longer range of MMA. wrestling portions etc. So with fewer thrown punches than in boxing, he still KO's vast majority of his competition within 2 rounds.
that speaks for outlier punching power in MMA. I would say maybe he has the greatest KO % of any MMA champion pound for pound. punching power will absolutely transfer to boxing.
Think about that for a second. all KO's within first 2 rounds before he gasses.
he has a bad gas tank no doubt but those first 3 rounds(5 minute rounds rounded down to 3 min boxing rounds).
He hasnt knocked any boxers out. And the 2 guys with good chins he faced in MMA he didnt finish. Holloway and diaz.
In boxing as far as im concerned he has average power, and will have a very hard time even grazing mayweathers head lol
So are you saying that the second fight was not more even? How is my statement inaccurate?
Go drink battery acid.hey fatboy suck my dcik the fight was even since the first fight with only 1LB difference same as the second
First fight : mcgregor 168
Diaz 169
Second fight : mcgregor 168
Diaz 170.5
they fought at the same weight for their second fight, what the fvck you talking about more even weight...log off dude

Maidana hit Floyd flush at the end of a round in their 2nd fight. There wasn't much attention given to that punch during the fight but I felt Floyd was rocked bad, probably even worse then the two mosley shots.
1. In my opinion, Maidana has more power than Conor, from what I've seen.
2. Floyd has a chin on him. That punch from Maidana would have put most guys out.
3. Even with Conor's speed, he'll have a tough time landing...let alone landing clean. Aldo rushed in wide open, Floyd does not open himself up like that.
Nate got knocked down 4 times in the first 2 rounds of the 2nd fight. Conor also had to punch up cus Nate's like 6 foot.
COnor overlooked nate first fight.
Nate also has a granite chin. Only susceptible to cuts due to scar tissue.
100% agree, for me if Conor lasts any longer than 10 and Shocked...yeah there's really a lot riding on this fight.
I am of Irish stock and it would be remarkable if Conor splattered Floyd with a lightning strikes kind of shot and he'd be bigger than Father Christmas if it happened but on the other hand he's a rank novice and in the unlikely it happened it would really bother me.
Ernie Shavers was the arguably the hardest hitting puncher on the planet, but it didn't help him to defeat Larry Holmes, Jerry Quarry, Ron Lyle, and many lesser opponents who no one ever heard of before.
Conor has no chance, and all of the speculation, scientific analysis, flow charts, statistics or voodoo dust are going to help him to win.
Bookies even Irish bookies Paddy Power have a Floyd stoppage as the most likely outcome.
He should stop him. 100%
If he doesn't Floyd's lost imo and let the sport down a little bit too.

Will he land punches on Floyd? Most probably...will Conor land his hurtful meaningful punches? Unlikely for me
He keeps talking about being awkward and his power, but floyds faced punchers who hit much much harder than mcgregor and faced fighters who are difficult and unorthodox and he always figures them out.
I expect him to have fully figured out mcgregor by a round or 2 and I expect him to surprise a few people and stop Conor late when he gasses.

Aldo is a beast, but I'm guessing Larry means as a boxer.
Paulie watched that KO on Aldo and the first thing he noted was that Aldo came in, in a straight line without using any kinds of feints. You might not have the highest opinion of Maidana & Berto, but they're smart enough as boxer to know you can't run into someone's range head first without feinting and probing the distance.
true...i see what youre saying
thats a little crazy
beating - swanson, faber, florian, mendes x2,edgar x2, korean zombie, llamas is about as impressive as you get in ufc
had an early lose by submission then went on to be undefeated for 10 years

Have you seen Maidana's and Canelo's KO% in first 3-4 rounds? Almost all their knockouts are early. wtf does that have to do with anything? It didn't help them when they fought Mayweather.
Canelo has some of the best timing in boxing and outweighed Mayweather by like 20 pounds on fight night. That didn't help and Canelo is one of the best boxers on the planet
Maidana had an awkward style and some of the heaviest hands in boxing, still didn't help him
Thinking McGregor has a chance to KO a fighter who's never even been knocked down before is some stupid Skip Bayless type thinking. This fight is a waste of time
I agree with everything, except that his glove did touch the canvas vs Judah. Just wasn't called. Not that it's gonna really matter doe
You're forgetting that at MMA KO isn't a boxing KO. I haven't watched all his KO's but they for the most part are him landing a punch and the guy getting knocked down and the ref waves it off or he jumps on him. In boxing that would translate to a KD. Completely different
That's been my point throughout. Guy has 4oz gloves and MMA has different rules. McGregor isn't KOing guys with legal boxing blows, he's stunning guys and then either finishing them on the ground or having the ref jump in to stop him from finishing them on the ground. Those would be knockdowns in boxing, not KOs. Comparing MMA KOs to boxing KOs is like comparing boxing KOs to pins in wrestling, two very different things.
The thing is, for the most part, anyone who has good power in their hands as a boxer is already a boxer. McGregor might land his absolute best perfect punch on Mayweather and it does nothing to him.

Whats your point? They still fought at 170 because Nate couldn't get down in weight in time, and Conor was underweight in that fight.
When they fought at a more even weight, Conor won.they fought at the same weight for their second fight, what the fvck you talking about more even weight...log off dude
In mma its nearly bare knuckle. McGregor fists will be encased in pillow against Floyd.
Floyd will be OK. All Floyd has to do is try not get hit like always and he should be victorious
