Seriously how many wins for any fighter under 20 fights was more impressive?
I know Leon Spinks beat Ali, but the Wlad that lost to Joshua would have destroyed the Ali that lost to Spinks..... Other than Spinks-Ali, I can't think of ANY wins a Heavyweight have had prior to his 20th fight that is remotely close to the Wlad win Joshua got.
This is a different topic in itself. But fury's win is better that Josh's. But that isn't taking g infto considerations its Josh's 19 th fight.
It just gets complicated when you got too many things to juggle and things too consider
It is a good win of course but that was a Wlad in his 40's, inactive for 18 month and had already lost his last fight and still had Joshua down and nearly out
That's not to take anything a way from Joshua, he showed a lot of heart in that fight and winning mentality but he struggled badly with a faded fighter in his 40's.
There's no way that Klitschko was better than before, no matter what people want to convince themselves and others. He looked good because Joshua's style is quite suited to him in some ways but you could still see he was old.
That was a really good accomplishment for Joshua. The problem is he beat Klitschko. If he beat Wilder he would be celebrated more but then they would say he need to beat someone like Klitschko. Why do you think a fight with irrelevant Fury is getting so much traction? Klitschko was not old... Bernard Hopkins was old. That was the best Klitschko I've ever seen.
Fake-J is a fraud who will get exposed against Fury.
A fraud who knocked out the best heavyweight there has been for around 15 years. And before you say vlad was old, that was Vlad's best performance for a number of years, he looked fresh, light on his feet and he was letting his hands go more than he had done for a long time. AJ deserves all the credit he is getting and i cant see anyone beating him anytime soon, including Fury, who is so out of shape at the moment its hard to even picture him back in the ring at elite level.
Aj is the best heavyweight in the world today. Any heavyweight who wants to be considered the best heavyweight in the world has to beat AJ to prove it. Fury could make that claim once but he can't anymore He had a breakdown and nobody knows how good he is now. Even before AJ KOed Wlad he had a better record than Wilder or Ortiz. AJ has 100% KO wins topped off with is KO of a well trained and motivated Wlad.
he beat an OLD fighter in wlad and come razor thin close to losing and does anyone really believe he would have beaten a young prime wlad ?
Thats kinda the point, AJ is just as green as Wlad is past it.
He fought 40 odd pro rounds prior to the Wlad fight. People act like he's in his prime but he's 3-4 year and 10-12 high level fights from reaching his peak.
So while todays AJ doesn't beat a prime Wlad you could also ask whether anyone thinks AJ with 10 more fights and 3 more pro years has any problem with that Wlad ?
It's an excellent victory, but Vlad was old and the HW division has sucked for ages. I hope Joshua's win ushers in a new era of more exciting fights. Joshua could shape up to be a great heavyweight.
Yup it just gets ignored to suit agendas
It is what it is, you know that the AA clan AND the white supremecists both will never give him any props, its just the normal people who will
oh well
Isn't he converting to Islam now? There goes the normal people. Damn he's surrounded!
Prior to the Wlad fight I favored Pulev, Ortiz, and Wilder to beat Joshua, now I expect him to easily defeat Ortiz and Pulev, and I'm favoring Joshua over Wilder
