The first low blow in the last round was obvious. Weeks didn't recognize it and made Kovalev continue without a break. Since he wasn't recovered from the low blow Ward went to work and hit him with a right. He then proceeded to hit him at least 3 times low for the stoppage. Ward a cheat, incompetent stupid ref = fight over. Kovalev should have retaliated and hit Ward with low blows. But of course those would have been seen by the ref and everyone else. This fight was a joke and an embarrassment to the sport.

That was a clean win. No questions about Ward's win tonight. Stoppage was questionable, but it's not like Kovalev wasn't getting dominated that round. Ward was kicking his rear and Kovalev stopped defending himself. And that last blow, if it was low, was barely low. Kovalev was doubled over and that punch caught some of his belt as well as the letters. That is rarely called low when a guy is scrunched up and bent over like that.

I have been hit low and it does suck. That being said, very few of the body shots were low. Kov folded under pressure and was clearly gassed. Roy called it and Ward delivered. Boxing is a rough and tumble sport, don't start crying now......

Have you ever been hit in your nuts before? It takes like 10 minutes to recover from that...

He was hit in the balls and expecting the ref to do something about it. Even though he should have known by then that he couldnt rely on weeks to do jack **** based on the previous times ward hit him low, it does take time to recover from nut shots. You go have a friend hit you in the nuts and lets see if you can land an immediate counter or even feel like throwing one.

Because he didn't expect the ref to stop the fight. His mistake though, thankfully the stoppage whilst being an awful early stoppage didn't change the outcome of the fight, Kovalev was about to get KO'd very soon.

Because he was hurt But so what? Its boxing We should have seen him next round. Maybe Ward ends him, but thats boxing Just look at Wlad vs Joshua. Maybe all the hipsters dont know this, but boxers get hurt in there and sometimes comeback

He obviously was hurt and in survival mode until the end of the round. But have you never seen a guy hurt before? Seriously, it happens all the time where a guys is hurt but not to the point that a fight needs to be stopped. Ward wasn't fighting back in round 2 of last fight after the KD but I would have been up in arms if they stopped it at that point. He needed to get to the corner to gather himself and he came back strong. Same thing may or may not have happened here but he should have had the chance. Ward was still moving....... kov was just standing there hunched over taking shots.............no movement....didn't complain to the ref either about the stoppage........

He got hurt by a flush right hand from Ward who put everything into that shot, and when you take multiple low blows while you're in survival mode you look like you're 'not fighting back'.

He was HURT! WTF! I mean Ward did Load Up Fully on that punch NO QUESTION he was dazed from that shot! His mistake was not clinching I guess too prideful to do that! But yeah some punches did go low
