McCline/Peter (Peter ruined) Peter was dropped 3 times & was never the same after. McCline was a late replacement. He got a gift decision but it was downhill from there. He beat a washed up Maskaev after but never won another big fight. McCline exposed him.
Price/Thompson (Price ruined) I said it was too big a step up at the time & I was right. He has never recovered from that fight.
Does Alexander still fight?
I think so... I know he has suffered some defeats recently so I think he is just taking some time off to regroup.. I never heard he retired but he is MIA like quillen, mike jones, etc
Wrong.. pac went on to win some very decent fights after that. Lol...it can be argued it ruined JMM moreso.
Pac-Margarito is the fight that took away his prime. He was never quite the same after.
I think the guy is correct. Physically margarito might have taken more away. But mentally? It ruined pac. It took away his confidence. His aura of invicibility. It took away a lot of his explosiveness. He became hesitant, which they call the smart and thinking pacquiao. But truth is marquez took away what made pac a sensation. He began doubting his chin too.
pacquaio vs margarito judging by manny after the fight in his documentary plus him saying after he spent 4 days in bed recovering
of course it ruined margacheato too
No, Marquez ruined him psychologically. You make a very excellent point. I felt that the Marquez 4 fight did more to scar Manny Pacquiao than ruining him. After that bout, he began to fight more cautiously, by taking fewer risks in the ring than usual, as he became less likely to want to engage, trade and exchange punches with his opponents.
Riddick Bowe vs Andre Golota II.
This is the fight which probably ruined both fighters, but especially Riddick Bowe! Bowe in my opinion took off his excess weight too fast, and was completely overtrained! but he still produced a brave performance.
Golota was a very gifted heavyweight, very fluent with his punches (I think Lennox Lewis ruined Andrew Golota more!).
I think the Pavlik-Hopkins fight was more of the end of the Pavlik legend than the end of Pavlik as a fighter per se.
although Hopkins beat Pavlik easily, it was the :bottle: that ruined Pavlik (which he was already having issues with pre-Hopkins)
Mayweather didn't ruin Mosley. Mosley was a shell of his prime self when they fought. Hatton was overrated and was unjustly awarded a win vs Collazo before fighting Mayweather.
Rios was just a punching bag and damaged goods when PAC beat him.
Badou jack vs Degale? Wtf.
You are a fan boy.
After Mosley laid hands on Margarito I don't think anyone was saying Shane was washed up or anything buy yeah Floyd never ruined Shane, Shane just got old
Mosley vs Margarito
Mayweather vs Hatton
Mayweather vs Mosley
Pacquiao vs Rios
Hopkins vs Pavlik
Kovalev vs Pascal
Kovalev vs Hopkins
Badou Jack vs Degale
Neither guy has even fought again yet. How would you know if one is shot now?
You can't ruin a fighter if said fighter is way past their prime and just a shell of their prime self.
What do you mean? Hopkins was way past his prime but still could operate on a high level and so did Mosley and Pacquiao!
All were ruined from what they could do by other fighters so I don't understand what your trying to say!
Mosley vs Margarito
Mayweather vs Hatton
Mayweather vs Mosley
Pacquiao vs Rios
Hopkins vs Pavlik
Kovalev vs Pascal
Kovalev vs Hopkins
Badou Jack vs Degale

So where did u get such detailed info.? Or did u just copy and paste it? Where did u find out all that stuff?
I remember reading it along time ago and looked for it, I found it on Reddit. I think the original article was from the Ring Magazine, printed version.
