New poll... Mikey Garcia vs Adrien Broner
I'm taking Mikey Garcia all day. Broner is soooo overrated, it is disgusting. Mikey will use his advanced boxing skills to pick Broner apart. I hope he knocks him out. I'm Team Garcia all the way in this fight. It will be easy work for Mikey. Hopefully Broner will go away forever after that and take his delusional fan base with him.
Who you got?
Don't see this fight happening soon, maybe in the fall if we're lucky.
IF it goes down, I have Miley but it'll be close if AB is focused and on weight.
Years ago I would've given the edge to Broner, but I think the discipline isn't there right now. Mikey is just too hungry, too much heart. Garcia UD
Exactly. IMO, it comes down to who do you think wants it more. Garcia or Broner. And the answer is clearly Garcia based on their actions outside of the ring alone.
First and foremost, I wanna know what the weight(or cw) will be?? When Garcia Came back after his layoff he fought Rojas at 138. I think Mikey will be good and strong at 140-143. Any more than that and Broner will have too much of a weight advantage. I know Broner is faster but Mikey takes a few rounds to get his timing. Once he does it's on. I need more info before I pick! Lol
Broner wins imo..he is faster, bigger and has a nice skill set...
I know you are not entirely objective, because you proclaimed him as the fighter of the decade lol. But Broner only really has size on Garcia.
His speed doesnt work, because he is way too predictable and as soon as garcia picks his spots to counter, Broner will hesitate to throw punches.
Also Mickey is trained by Garcia who has trained Maidana for Broner. They know how to fight Broner and they exactly did pick this fight, because its relatively high reward low risk for garcia.
Good showcase for Garcia. Like Ward, he endured through a 3 year contractual dispute and is successfully rebuilding his career. This isn't an extremely competitive fight, but it will give Mikey a chance to shine and get back in the spotlight.
Interesting matchup. Mikey is clearly the better boxer; technique, IQ, and offensive variety.
Saying that it's hard to overlook Broner given the size advantage he would have. Mikey for as great a fighter as he's been has always been huge for his weight and he wouldn't be able to have that advantage here.
Broner as flawed as he is has tremendous hand speed and good power. He's also shown a good chin and I doubt Mikey would be able to hurt him. Mikey on the other hand has been dropped by lesser punchers so Broner can definitely hurt him.
Broner has always looked bad against volume punchers, and Mikey is a more methodical fighter who picks his shots and counters.
It's a truly interesting fight given each fighters strengths and I wouldn't be shocked if Broner beat Mikey.
