I don't really want to think so but this makes me wonder:
""Last couple of fights Canelo has looked good... I've looked okay. That's why it's very interesting who wins in September."
I mean did he deliberately make himself look vulnerable to draw interest? Strikes me as an odd thing to say and not spontaneous. It's been thought about.
This is such big business now, I wonder behind the scenes what kind of angles are thought about.
We back at this GGG just letting people beat on him on purpose crap? SMH
Yes he secretly has great defense but doesn't want to show the world because he just want big drama show that's why he doesn't move his head or use defense. So thats why he let small brook turn hos face into hamburger meat. And yes he let jacobs almost beat him in a razor tight controversial decision that if he lost is devestating and completely takes him out of millions in a canelo fight.
In 4 months the excuse will beat he let canelo whoop his azzz and school him all just to set up a rematch. LMAO
Seems that the point I'm trying to make is being missed. I think the monies involved are are so big now and many of the players so unethical that from a promotion standpoint I'm very suspicious.
I'm very glad the fight got made though. I suspect that Golovkin pummels Canelo in the mid to late rounds and Canelo being a tough kid winds up taking a beating. But sometimes matchups surprise me. That's the most satisfying part of boxing for me. I remember Duran Leonard, Ali Foreman Tyson Douglas.
These fights that get made when there are points of view that are very definite, where there are very strong expectations and then apple cart gets tipped, this is the best of boxing.
I like both fighters I expect Golovkin wins, I expect he gives Canelo a beating, I hope actually not too much of a beating as I like Canelo and his future. But there is the chance that Canelo surprises. Either way, it's good for boxing.
I've read from his promoter that he was a little banged up after the Jacobs fight, which is understandable.
Sanchez said GGG had a lot of wear and tear from sparring bigger guys in training.
never hurt him fam. sorry to burst your bubble.
he clearly tightened up his D for that fight compared to the brook fight.

After the fight, he also made a donation to the Susan GGG Koman foundation
Wow. LMFAO!!!
He allowed a welterweight to banjo him as hard as he could multiple times.
Nice lad, that Golovkin.
He might allow Canelo to beat him because he himself has a Mexican style and so allow himself to get beaten as a tribute to Mexican boxing.
Golovkin is a class fighter. For me he beat two very good fighters in his last two fights including Brook who on the night performed well. He stopped a world-level welter who was game and outpointed probably the no2 middleweight. I don't really understand how that is not viewed as good enough.
Crazy high standards he is held too.
LOL. I just don't understand some of his fans either.
Yeah, sure feels like that. I heard he allowed Danny to hurt him because he wanted to do something nice for a cancer survivor.

.......and we're back to the GGG allowed himself to be punched really hard in the mouth threads.

Boxers sandbag 100%
watch Holyfield's sandbagging performance against Bobby Czyz.
Go watch that fight.
then watch his fight with Tyson right after that. 2 totally different people.
Is it? Oh man, well there's me embarrassed. I always thought that was like when you dug a little hole on the beach and... umm... oh well, never mind.
Something about an Ostrich. LOL
Not to quibble but I think the term is "sandbanging". But it's all good.

I definitely think he didn't take Brook seriously after the first couple of minutes, but there's no way he 'threw' the Jacobs fight. It was too close, and if the decision went against him, his career would pretty much be finished. Sadly enough, it's true no matter when he loses. His reputation and name are built on such an image of invincibility, and he's so old, that when he loses (that's a WHEN not an IF), he wont have the time to recover from it.
He's SO OLD at 35? GTFO! He ain't losing **** and you can quote me on that. Canela is his next toy he'll be playing with however he wants to mess with.
