Once I discovered the steroids world involving boxing and fighting sports in general, I lost the love I had for it.
For example, Sergio was one of my favourites. Now I just can't look at his MW reign without thinking he was doing what he was doing because he had been doping.
The fight with Pavlik, I see it as a fight between a clean man and a doper. So unfair.
I know he used to train like a "body builder", focusing a lot on strength and weight lifting, but does that give you that kind of body? or was he enhancing himself with legal methods such as creatine and other supplements?
What do you think? pics:

Sergio is aesthetic as fuck. Pavlik simply isn't. It's genetics. Give Pavlik all the peds he wants, and he still won't look as beautiful as Sexy Sergio.
Sergio was a true athlete. He was heavy into biking, soccer, swimming, etc.. find a better topic next time. People can debate who did what for ever. Bring proof of evidence or nothing
When are people going to stop using muscle definition to determine accusations about doping? Maybe Sergio doped, but his body definition is literally no proof at all.
He was roided to the gills. Why do you think he looked the way he did against Cotto who mandated random blood?
When a fighter has a style that relies on athleticism as much as Sergio's did, they can only fight on the highest level for so long.
I'll take it a step further, I think he built his physique up because he is gay. I don't say that to bash him at all. I just think he prefers men (based on mannerisms, private personal life, absence of women, his "roomate", etc) and gay men tend to be more body-conscious.
Martinez,Margarito and Cotto have been involved in a love triangle for years
Cotto was recently pushed out the picture....

Which is why he beat the shlt outta Martinez
Love hurts

Care to provide evidence of Martinez doping?
Any fighter who is in their mid 30's, who is not noticeably slowing down and still at the highest level, is getting help staying there.
Fighters in the 70's and 80's were considered shot by then. The past 25 years guys are staying on top at a more advanced age. It is not evolution, it is not training methods. It is enhancements.
He turned into a muderous power puncher and his athleticism was being compared to Roy all of a sudden close to 40 but keep playing stupid
Oh please he was a sharp speedy puncher who came up late, was kicking ass on HBO then his confidence grew after he put Paul Williams on his ass.
Very good question, I know Martinez was a keen cyclist so he has in built endurance but I also have doubts about his career, especially after his knee injuries/surgeries etc towards the end of this career. He couldn't have got through those surgeries, training camps without a little "Help"
I doubt it, but anything is possible. Martinez was always ripped, he wasn't just ripped for the Pavlik fight.
Even if Martinez wasn't clean, Pavlik wasn't either. I'm sure he had a bottle of whiskey before he laced up his gloves.
So they were evenly matched.
no and no. The guy was a work out machine. His Cotto fight had nothing to show besides the fact he lost a step. And honestly had bad knees. Although I think Cotto would have given Sergio problems if they met in his prime especially because the first solid shot Cotto landed was very clean and had nothing to do with his knees.
People just like fishing for controversy, the guy was a bike rat, abs get defined very well for guys like that.

No smoke without deep v neck shirts.

I'm certain he was an eyeliner user at one point.

I have given up trying to figure out who is/was clean or not. Its too hard.
I just rely on official results and testing. As long as a boxer isn't officially juiced, I accept them as clean.

Mayweather also was exceptionally fit at almost 40 years old.

It wouldn't surprise me if he was doping for the longest time. What better way to cover your tracks than to start a clean fighting campaign with an agency that is clearly corrupt and incompetent. USADA is a joke, allowing him an exception three weeks after he broke the rules and cheated with an illegal IV. Besides, no fighter of his caliber and experience dehydrates that close to the biggest fight of his career. Especially if he walks around close to his fighting weight as he claims.
Meh, whatever. He will always be one of my top favorite fighters. Sergio was a beast.
No doubt, Sexy Serg will always be one of my favorites. Great, great ambassador for the sport.
