not watched the video but its clear ggg won in real time. jacobs took the rounds after the knockdown when ggg started headhunting which made the fighter closer than it should be. when ggg used his underrated boxing skills, he was quite superior.
What were the rounds GGG won without question?
you dont score on punches? :smashfrea:smashfrea:smashfrea
I was watching Pirog vs Jacobs last week and all the commentary team including the great emmanuel steward and myself gave Pirog a round where he landed at least 5 less punches. You dont need to land more to win a round, this isnt amateur boxing.
I've only seen fight once and my first instincts was 3 g won comfortably. In fact quite easy.
But for GGG standards it was a hard fight. It was competitive in that GGG had to work hard to win comfortable decsion.
The judges flatter Jacobs, but have given gggs critics excuse to whine.
Gggg shows class he hasn't uttered a sound since unlike ward. Wards behaviour made me feel award didn't think he beat kov. Gggs behaviour makes me think GGG knows he beat Jacobs comfortably which he did, so nothing for gggto explain
for the record this wasn't an easy fight for anyone by any stretch of the imagination. Golovkin won, but he had to fight hard to win a 12 round close decision.
Nonsense, I score rounds based on effective aggression, ring generalship and who's dictating the action more effectively. It was a close fight that could have gone either way but I myself a big GGG fan had it 1 round to Jacobs. All greats have had close fights, GGG got the nod and he moves on to bigger things now.

Rewatched this fight just today courtesy of adprokid: https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=740366
Golovkin dominated and was always in control but he lost about 5, possibly 6 rounds. He actually pulled that forehead defense crap he pulls when he is in full control starting in the 10th rd after he hurt Jacobs for about the 3rd time in the fight in the 9th and gave Jacobs the 10th and 11th.
That bullcrap was literally a sparring session on PPV, Golovkin was not looking to hurt Jacobs except in spurts, you can visibly tell when he's throwing with conviction because he simply looks a lot more explosive. It's like he'd start to get the fire and without even getting hit with nothing to stop his advance he'd say, "oh wait, I'm not supposed to hurt this guy". Only for moments like after getting clocked by Jacobs in the end of the 3rd rd, the 4th and 5th where he stalked more characteristically and maybe the 12th.
Golovkin looked bored and was halfassing it the majority of the fight with a bored look on his face. He only started to get that excited look and mannerisms in the 9th and beyond, but was still holding back on Jacobs instead I guess taking pleasure in using his head as a guard.
P.S the referee sucked in this fight, calling break when guys are working on the inside, Jacobs apparently had free reign to fight out of a chest to chest but not Golovkin, 5th rd is a good example, also seemed to remind Golovkin to calm down and that this is just sparring.
Cool video bro. Do you have the super slo-mo 6k HD version? I think all fights should be judged in slo-mo. Let the fighters fight. Then after the fight the judges watch it in super slo-mo and the next day they announce the winner.
LMFAOOOO THAT SIG
look at 4:07. GGG throws a left hook that Jacobs blocks with glove. this clown counts that as landed. no need to waste more time with this.
Couldn't be any clearer either

Doesn't matter who you think won, we can all agree that these videos are a joke and serve an agenda. The only way to properly form an opinion is to properly watch the whole fight not any type of highlight vid.
And yeah that guy forever lost credibility when he made the Mayweather vs Pacquaio vid. Yeah Pac outlanded Floyd 2:1.... don't know what the vast majority of us were watching lol.
Yeah those videos are garbage
I thought Golovkin barely won. And if someone told me he barely lost or it was a draw I wouldn't argue.... But... These videos are lame. There's one saying Pacquiao beat Floyd ffs.

I challenge every doubter here to put up or find a film study/video, or just put up the fight with your own commentary and tell me how Jacobs possibly won that fight or how he even won 6 rounds.
All the haters here know that it will never happen because you cannot alter reality and facts.

:lol1: Breaking out these videos reeks of insecurity, and tells me you're not so confident in the decision.
jacobs's face condition compared with golovkin's face in the end is legit proof who landed more clean punches, smh....
This is silly. Look at the pictures of the faces after Pacquiao/Clottey, and tell me who landed more.
It is crazy how boxnation gave rds 1-3 to Jacobs.
Only a blind man gives rounds 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 to Jacobs. DJ did enough to take round 2 and clearly won round 7. I've yet to re-watch and score rounds 8-12.
jacobs lost by 2 or 3 rounds im not a fan of hyping geegg above what he is, a tough fighter with power with a hell of a chin... but he in no way was exposed or lost this fight; did he struggle in some ways vs another good fighter? yes jacobs had his times, but geegg was not exposed nor did he lose this fight, its just true
