Is GGG declining?

Better opposition. That's the difference. It's easy to KO stiffs when you've got pop.

Yes. At this point every fighter has declined. Only Mayweather seemed like he didn't decline. The only time he showed visibly slippage was vs Berto and I'm assuming he just saw Berto as so low level that he didn't do his usual juicing and training.

People making so many excuses for this dude. It's unreal. This is what happens when you fight real competition.

His reflexes don't seem as sharp. And he's not Turing in the inside close range hook, which would have been there all night against Jacobs

Yes I think so. He's a lot less explosive and his physique has softened. I agree. He looks less cut also no homo. Just seems sluggish if you go back and watch the stevens or murray fight he just looked faster and more explosive. But then again its stevenes and murray so hard to tell if hes just fighting better guys. I do think by the eye test though there is a slight decline from what he was like.

i remember ouma beating up a prime ggg so no. hes just a guy who is incredibly slow but people were afraid to throw legit punchs at him. even jacobs was only throwing to make ggg stay away not to land anything. i saw ggg fight live agaisnt rubio and i was ready to rush the ring zelenoff style and take him out. dudes a bum.

He even looked like crap against Wade, who is clearly a notch below even guys like Macklin, Proksa, etc. That's when I wondered about an athletic decline. He just looks sluggish and stuck in the mud now. Hands are slower and he's not really that crisp with his shots. I don't think he was ever some truly great middleweight (and there's no evidence to suggest he was), but he looked a bit better than what he's shown in the past year/year and a half. I fully expect somebody to have his number in the next year or two, perhaps even in an upset we don't really see coming.

Then he fought reckless against brook and looked sloppy as well whether it was intentional or not. Jacobs is a great fighter and he showed it yesterday maybe thats why GGG underperformed but anyone else feel like he doesnt look like the same fighter that he was 2 years ago even? I might be reaching just want to know if anyone else feels this way. He's 35 Years old. He should be fading. If he wasn't I would suspect him of juicing.

SMH If GGG slow azzz makes Jacobs look slick imagine what more skilled or "slicker" boxers will do to him.

Yes, he's getting older and Abel has this terminator style. GGG could have been a technician but would never been on PPV with that style.

Better competition. It's that simple. Same old GGG to me. Bingo just getting exposed by facing more skilled fighters. Even fighting bum he was getting hit a lot no defense or head movement, one dimensional but against bums you over look the weakness because he got knockouts. Brook is just an average welterweight with only 1 decent win and busted his face up that should of been your first wakeup call. Jacobs is chinny and known as a brawler who only been passed round 10 once but GGG slow weak skills made him look like a slickster out there out boxing him. I never bought the hype train and this is why he ran and ducked ward and why I been saying canelo will beat him. Better fighters will take away his power with boxing skills and he can't adapt after that.

He looked much fresher and explosive in his early hbo fights vs Macklin, proska, etc.. the last 3 or 4 fights he has looked sluggish, especially in the Brook and Jacobs fights.. Kinda reminds me of hagler when he fought mugabi and Leonard Thats what i mean. He just looks less crisp and explosive with his shots and looks sloppy at times. Could be the competition though who knows.
