You stupid idiot do you know how to comprehend?
Where did I say every fight is a huge fight?
Idiot I said every fight for every FIGHTER is a huge fight.
Smdh
Lmao....
"Where did I say every fight is a huge fight"
"I said every fight for every fighter is a huge fight"
So by your logic every fight is a huge fight... unless there is fights without any fighters,
Are there fights without fighters, because you said every fight for every fighter is a huge fight, but then say there aren't huge fights.. you continue to double talk in circles...
No dude you started this thread wondering why fans were not interested in this fight. After a couple post you posted again saying how you were surprised people have no interest in this huge fight.
Don't try and back track and say you meant it was only a huge fight for the fighters.
It was a crap fight that was fought for a crap title and the fight turned out to be crap. The outcome at this time has no bearing for Andrade. He put up a sh1t performance in a winning effort.
Btw every fight for every fighter is a huge fight.
Lmao...
Sorry for being interested and hyped for one of the best 154 guys going overseas for a belt...
And not every fight is a big fight, and has the same ramifications. What a fvcking joke..
And you think if Andrade lost to culcay, it wouldn't have mattered?
Now you're double-talking, literally in the same post.. "not a big fight/crap fight". Few lines later "btw every fight is a big fight". Well which one is it, you are contradicting yourself in the same post.. it's either a big fight or it's not and you're claiming both in the same post.
If you had no interest in this fight, that's fine, but don't try to babble on about how unimportant it was for Andrade and culcay when it clearly was a make or break fight for both guys
Dude dont pretend like this fight had any bearing on the boxing world. Even if Andrade won in dominate fashion, which he didn't, but even if he did it wouldn't have mattered for him or the division. Dude has been so inactive and so out of the minds of boxing fans even a dominate win wouldn't have put him in position for sh1t. He needed to win in dominate fashion then follow that up with a couple more dominate wins over top competition this year then maybe next year hed have something. But after last night, his career is going nowhere.
Dude you started this thread wondering why there is no interest in this "huge fight". It's because nobody gives a fuks about it or Andrade.
So this wasn't a huge fight for either guy... Andrade's career would have been fine had he lost?
I never said this was one of the biggest fights in boxing, just that's it's a huge fight for both guys and their career trajectory was in the line in this fight. I don't see how it's hard to understand
lmfao, what point did you prove with this "Huge fight" which you said it was.
Well ramifications can be positive or negative.. had culcay won, it would have made him a player, had Andrade lost, his career would have taken a huge step back. Had Andrade won in dominant fashion, he would be in demand for a big fight. Andrade winning but in a stinker means he lost a chance to rekindle some buzz he had a few years ago and career will probably remain stagnant.
Like I said, ramifications..
Gtfoh, that win doesn't do sh1t for Andrade.
In order for him to be in line for a big fight dude needs a couple more wins against top guys within this year. Beating some noname guy for a bs title is meaningless at this point for him.
Btw Andrade looked like sh1t. That win didn't generate any buzz for him at all.
So it proves my point,,, "looked bad, didn't generate buzz" how is that not affecting his career, how is that not a ramification.
Now that Andrade got the split decision in this fight. What huge ramifications does this have? LMFAO, give me a fuking break.
Well if you weren't such an *******, I'm talking about huge ramifications for both guys... culcay wins he instantly becomes a player at 154, Andrade wins and he is back on track for showdowns with charlo bros, Lara, j-rock, Nelson, etc...
This fight had huge ramifications for both guys..
and it will continue as andrade only fights once a year
That's what happens when a fighter turns down fights his promoter gets for him because a rival promoter tells him to lol.
Andrade's inactivity is his own fault.
and also in Germany, you watch a couple fights and you think the home boy got a gift decision, you then hate him and you watch all of his following fights with a bias hate against them...i was guilty of that many times.
heaps of robberies happen in the USA as well, the only main difference is that most fights are between USA people (both fighters) and or USA based people ...and Mexicans.
once you start having Locals (house fighters) vs 'Fly Ins' from abroad, then you definitely see more and more bias on the judging side...and then you have Vegas, well that place is shocking.
this is why boxing has never been (and never will be) a mainstream support - it`s not really a proper sport with proper rules with a proper governing body.
for me the biggest litmus test was with the Ward vs Kovalev fight last year, i said to myself if that is scored correctly then it will be good...and then they did the biggest ever **** on the coffee table.
this is why UFC has taken over (even though they are a circus unto themselves) - they are still one sport controlled by one governing body and the best part is that most fights end in convincing fashion.
I am definitely bias against that high guard German style. I just can't give it any credit.
Abraham exploding out of that high guard for the last 20 seconds used to drive me nuts.
Yeah it would be nice if we had a proper global governing body, Even over here domestically the British Boxing Board of a control have no power. They can withdraw licences but boxers will just apply to other European commissions and still box here.
And because of the way these alphabet soups are so money driven and whilst it benefits the UK I am unconvinced we see the best fighters even fight for titles especially vacant ones. Gavin McDonnell fighting for a WBC belt? Gavin did an incredible job really to be somewhat competitive I dunno how he got there. It seems like the sanctioning bodies are seeing the uk as a bit of a gravy train. Charlie Edwards fighting for a version of the world title in his 9th fight. I know he is a little fella and it can be quicker for the little men but still. I swear before it used to be like pulling teeth for our fighters to get these shots. Even the overmatched ones.
We definitely have better quality boxers today but the market is there to deliver the title shots. I know 154 is a talented division but with no big star if Canelo isn't there but I bet one of those sanctioning bodies finds a way to shoehorn Liam Smith or Liam Williams into a title shot.

Can you imagine if Ottke was around now.
100% he'd hold a victory over Golovkin. Possibly Kovalev. GGG was definitely scratching around mainland Europe struggling for fights for a while they'd have got him at 168.
They'd have peeled that lad of the canvas and given him the win.
:lol1:
this is quite possibily some of the most unbelievable series of events i have ever seen, pure corruption.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iFIj2v2KRU smh :grumble:
the reff was warning reid for LANDING PUNCHES
Ze Germans save their fully fledged robberies for the pure germans like Sturm, immigrants like culcay and Abraham, will get a half hearted robbery attempted with a few SD here and there :lol1:

Yes but at the same time different countries prefer different styles of boxing.
Germany is all about the sporting side of boxing, so if you score more jabs and receive a few power shots, you'd still win the round. Other countries different.
Look at Floyd's fights, had he fought those fights elsewhere he would have easily had a couple losses.
Good post.
It is weird, Jack had that standard German high guard and the lad is from Ecuador.
To me it always looks so passive. If the opponent is rattling off combinations on nothing but gloves and he gets caught with a few jabs I can't bring myself to hold those jabs in any high regard. Even though really that is a sort of prejudice on my part against that style. You're right that it might be a cultural thing.
Anthony Crolla has that kind of defence and he doesn't have it easy on the scorecards even in his hometown.
To be fair if they treated Culcay like they did Ottke that would have been a comfortable 120-72 victory for Culcay.
German's have improved.

Diego Chaves in 3 months the key is to keep him in the ring
diego chaves? lol he is fighting at 154 lbs but needs to move down to welter. he has no business at 154.
