Their is no excuses from Hayes camp, so stop making excuses for him.
Now I'm half pissed at the moment (and probably won't remember this in the morning)but Bellew fought the fight he said he was going to,
Everything Bellew said he done,.
And even if you are the biggest Haye fan you must admit that.
Never count Tony Bellew out, no matter how much we like to say he is a useless boxer, he has the heart of a lion that carries him through.
For a boxing fan, you have to love him,, you have to be a little bit insane to get into Tony Bellews way of thinking
It was close though.
You're in denial if you think Bellew wasn't in that fight before the injury.
You guys are similar to Khan fans who claim he was dominating Canelo for the first 5 rounds.... he wasn't.
Did Bellew knock Haye out clean with one shot? No.
Did he struggle for 5 rounds against a crippled opponent? Yes.
There is no comparison there.
Bellew made it more competitive than people thought but it was quite obvious that Haye was growing into the fight as it went on. The only reason he arguably lost the first is because he was swinging like a madman trying to get him out of there.
fk the achilles bollocks. The achilles doesn't control his left hand being left so low so he was eating overhand right after overhand right.. haye was visibly gassed down the stretch, leading to lazy defence.. if the injury happened in the 6th, Hay was apparently smashing him out of there way before that

Not sure why people are offended by facts, the fact that Haye got injured live is something you cannot put aside or sweep under the carpet, yes he himself wasn't making any excuses, probably due to his history but that injury is still a talking point. Not taking anything away from Bellew though.
There are excuses, then there are facts. Haye was severely injured and could hardly move or throw a punch after the 6th round. Bellew had a tailors dummy stood in front of him and punched himself to a standstill trying to hit it. Before the injury Bellew's only thought was to survive, but he was the one gassing, not Haye.
Those are facts.
At the end of the day, after all the big talk by Haye, he lost to a CW, and even before the injury Bellew was well in the fight. I'd have more sympathy for Haye if he wasn't such a massive kunt.

Everyone knows that not everyone likes to admit it. People making it out like the fight was close before the injury smh.

Bellew's gameplan was to escape the early rounds and hope Haye fades. They just didn't realise how dramatically Haye would fall apart
tony is the one who faded first, he was gassing by 4
a lot was made out of haye fading pre fight, but haye fitness looked fine to me, rounds 4 and 5 he was landing more and more
If Haye didn't get injured he wins easily.
If that's an excuse then so be it.

1) The only reason they're not making any excuses is because of the broken toe thing. Difference being that this injury had a major impact on the fight, visible to everyone who watched it.
2) It's not an excuse, it's a fact. Without the injury Haye wins the fight.
I wouldn't even class myself as a Haye fan but so many people overlooking the injury is insane. It completely changed the trajectory of the fight.
Haye was injured its a fact ,and i will say it every where cuse ppl say Bellew is some monster and want him fight Wilder ,somebody must stop this madness ,
HE BEAT CRIPPLED MAN JESUS CHRIST
He was up 4-1, He was getting more comfortable with each round and his ankle/achilles gave out (there's video of if happening posted in another thread).
An excuse is 'lucky punch', 'didn't have a good camp', etc...Not a visible injury.
Nobody is 'blaming' Bellew. He was losing a fight and his opponent got injured, but he took some good shots and gets a win.
:haha: :haha:
Don't act like it was so clear cut. I had it 3-2 Haye first 5 rounds, as did many others.
It's reminiscent of Khan fans claiming he was "dominating" in the first 5 rounds (when he clearly wasn't).
