In this video, linked below, the host is talking about the bet and Chavez Sr. gets pissed and shoots off telling them to shut the eff up about the damn bet, "this is a fight between two man, not clown sh*t, shut up already, please, this is about honor, bla bla..." then Canelo, supposedly out of respect to Chavez Sr., whose fights he watched to learn, he says, backed out of the bet. Anybody who isnt naive knew this already. Boxers rarely follow through their bets, if ever. It isnt just the boxers themselves who are effected if they lose a bet. Who is going to pay the trainer, cutman, manager, hanger ons, etc the whole team suffers. It is just a good way to hype up a fight.

Chavez should send his daddy in the ring too, he's probably got a better shot.
