Thats whats Sr means he doesn't move his feet or dip his waist; once he faces someone who could cut off the ring and time him they may be able to drop the hammer on Canelo once he gets too cute
Yeah, reminiscent of when Oscar fought Vargas, he kinda had a bit of the Floyd system, but small details that were missing, like you say the bend of the knees led to him shipping a fair bit of punishment early. Could see the same thing happening to Canelo against Chavez, at least for a few rounds.
Some small defensive similarities, but he's too slow on his feet for any real comparison.

Yeah, cherry picking a guy two divisions above his own while negotiating with a greedy hype up diva
the cherrypicking is strong with these 2.
164.5 doe.
Part of me thinks that they want to build up Canelo as a lot of Floyd Jr.'s opponents don't really look all that great in hindsight. Guys like Ortiz, Guerrero, and others that Floyd fought later in his career really took a dive afterwards. Canelo may go down as one of his top opponents when all is said and done so it makes sense for them to build him up after they already have a W against him.
Maybe just maybe they think Canelo is a pretty good boxer
Sure. They both waited till their greatest foe grew old before fighting him. The only difference is that in Canelo's case, it won't work to his advantage - GGG will still destroy him regardless.
Yeah I can see it. Because canelo is Mexican people just assume and compare him to the stereotypical view of the head down come forward brawler Mexican fighter. But actually canelo has more in common with a cerebral counterpuncher like Floyd then a pressure fighter like say Margarito. You can see he has adopted a lot of the upper body defense, the shoulder roll you see from floyd to slip punches. Canelo defense is very under rated he doesn't get hit like most Mexican fighters.
