Looks like this fight might happen if Haye beats Bellew in March. It's the immediate title shot Haye has been waiting for and Parker's team are indicating that they're interested in the fight. Who wins?
Yea, im serious. He's better than Parker in many ways. Resume, physical capacity, ring domination and others... Pulev's style is very boring for viewers but he's a very experienced fighter. Parker may have a better career in the future but Pulev's better now! :boxing:
Resume, yeah, but not by much. And Pulev doesn't have anyone on his win roster as good as Takam.
Physical capacity, no. Parker is his superior in speed, punching power and overall athleticism. Pulev might be the marginally stronger man in the clinch, but that's it really.
Ring domination? Pulev is good at controlling distance and outboxes a certain level of opposition with ease. Parker still tends to struggle in this respect, though it's worth noting that his struggles came against superior opponents on the whole. Lesser guys he demolishes.
Pulev's got a lot of grit and experience, and I don't expect a fight between them to be easy, but as much as Parker has looked unimpressive of late I'd still pick him to beat Pulev in a close, messy contest.
Kubrat Pulev? :lol1:

Parker is a tough kid with no little ability, but the thing that stood out for me in the Takam and Ruiz fights is just how f**king easy he is to hit in the face. I doubt the guy could slip a punch from Stephen Hawking, let alone the relatively fast hands of Haye. The guy might have been out of the ring for years, and Wlad jabbed and cuddled him in to submission with relative ease, but Haye is still going to be able to put someone as simple to hit as Parker to sleep.
Are you kidding me? Absolutely Hayemaker by KO! Parker is the weakest title holder right now! Klitschko, Haye, Ortiz, Povetkin, Wilder, Gypsy King, Joshua, Kubrat Pulev better than him.
Kubrat Pulev? :lol1:
You make some good points.
I would say that Wladimir was just as fast as Haye in their fight. I was surprised at how fast Klistchko was on his feet. Haye couldn't disrupt him like he's been able to do with other heavyweights.
Yeah and to be honest Haye either couldn't or didn't seem willing to take the risks necessary to win the Wlad fight.
That said Haye's counterpunching would definitely be a threat against Parker more so than it was against Wlad.
Would be a great fight, in any, case.

Haye has never been a high output boxer, and has never showed great stamina. Moreover, he's never in his entire heavyweight career fought someone with similar speed and athleticism - he's always been the faster man, both in terms of footspeed and handspeed.
So I doubt Haye would win a decision over 12 rounds. He simply wouldn't have enough in the tank to keep up with a guy who's fought 5x this year. If it goes the full length Parker would probably win it on output.
However, where he does have an advantage is power. It's quite feasible that he'd knock Parker out.
50/50 fight for me.

It's hard to know whether or not Haye's the same fighter as retired in 2012, but I'm pretty confident he's got enough to KO Parker. You can't let Haye hit you and expect to stay upright.
If there is any top 10 fighter that Parker could beat, it would probably be Haye, not because Haye ain't good, but because he hasn't been in a fight for 5 years or so and he may not have the tank to do rounds in his new muscular body.
Haye gets alot of ****, but he's a very dangerous fighter who all the top guys are wary of...
I wasn't a fan until I seen the carl Thompson fight, he took that animal on very early in his career. Even tho he got beat he proved he's got balls to go with his skill.
I think Haye would win by KO.Haye is a good fighter with fast hands and real power. Haye has lots of good wins. I think Parker is a big fish in a small New Zealand pond. His best win is Ruiz and he just barely won. Parker weighed 245 for Ruiz but he looked about 25 pounds over his best fighting weight.
