Golovkin really needs new management if they're really going to reject an offer of that size, has he even made that much his whole career?? I doubt the fight sells 1 million PPV buys so I don't know what they're expecting to get by rejecting the offer, didn't Canelo fight Cotto for only $5,000,000??? that's 33% of what is being offered to Golovkin, and let's not forget Canelo was involved in the third highest PPV ever in all sports
why is he rejecting $15 million? because they think this fight is the new MayPac...so they're gonna sit back and marinate to squeeze every penny out of it.
God you people are retarded. First of all believing oscar's word on anything is completely foolish. The guys stumbling over his own lies and contradicting himself every other sentence.
First it was 10mil from oscars own mouth now it's 15mil.
Second offering a flat fee for any sort of super fight is complete BS end of story. The split should be anywhere between 70-30 to 60-40 in Canelos favor.
GB is clearly trying to milk him for as long possible before he has to take a probable beating at the hands of GGG.
It's so ****ing transparent I can't tell if some of you are just willfully ignorant.
The idea that GGG doesn't want the fight is laughable, literally every fighter on the planet would take a chance at Canelo but naw GGG don't want it lmao
Open your pea sized brain for a minute and I will explain this to you.
1. Canelo/Cotto did 900k. Canelo's drawing power hasn't increased and no way in hell is g strings as good as Cotto's was let alone better.
2. PPV success isn't driven by hard core boxing fans. Our numbers will always be there. Those numbers are driven by casual boxing fans and g string just isn't well enough known to them to do much better than about 650K
3. After Pac/Floyd, the PPV purchasing public is suffering from a hang over. The Ward/Kovalev fight only did 160K! This tells you all you need to know about how fickle the PPV dollar is right now.
4. g string already has 1 PPV flop under his belt, and now you want me to believe his drawing power is good enough to do 2 million buys? Not a chance in hell.
As noted a Canelo/g string fight won't bring 1 million buys let alone 2 million.
We'll comeback to this in September but that fight is the biggest boxing has to offer to the public you're underestimating the match up.
Ggg is the hottest name in the sport he generates the most google clicks just look at this board, and even casuals know nela and every Mexican in the US would buy that. You are clearly a idiot if you don't see this doing numbers.

Kirkland really? Brook would mop him and Jacobs would ko him quicker, and I purposely left out Lara cause he didn't beat him he was the judges son that night.
Based on what? That ko of the killer jojo dan? I'll remind you, g string hasn't fought Jacobs yet. I know it doesn't fit your ball gagging agenda, but Canelo beat Lara.
I see you conveniently left out Lara and Kirkland, both of which are better quality opposition than anyone g string has fought. Same for the fighters you mentioned except Liam.

Wow are you lost or what? No way in hell Canelo/g string does 1 million buys let alone 2 million.

Ask Oscar but that's what he was going to make it's not some regular fight it's the two biggest names in the sport, 10 mil is a joke for a ppv that would do close to 2 mil buys.

Could say the same about nela his best win was a old ass Mosley and LIAM and I guess a damaged cotto haha

How in Gods name would Canelo make 60 million?

Ten million dollars is one helluva an offer for someone with exactly ZERO quality wins.
Could say the same about nela his best win was a old ass Mosley and LIAM and I guess a damaged cotto haha
:lol1: Do you guys ever get tired of all these "fake" offers?
You better come one day with a response that has more than 20 characters. Good bye hater.
It is December, 2016. The fight is supposed to be in September, 2017. We really shouldn't talk about negotiations that we know nothing about until after Canelo fights in May. Relax, people.
The Kovalev-Ward agreement over a year ahead of time with scheduled tune ups leading up to it was silly and is not the norm.
The Golovkin management must be pretty good if they got Golden Boy to increase the purse from $10,000,000 to $15,000,000 in just 3 months.
Might as well corner the bish Canelo and pressure Golden Boy to increase the purse another $5,000,000 before May comes.
Golovkin fans said the exact same thing when Canelo/DLH revealed a 8 figure offer was made. Loeffler would come out and say they were lying if they were. Golovkin is still holding out for a ridiculous 40% split, which is pricing themselves out.
Lloefler is a polite guy. He's not the kind of guy that goes to the media and say they are lying. AFAIK, he never did.
In the GGGboxing Instagram account, they did accuse GBP and Canelo of lying, somehow, by posting this after the fight:
I didn't expect that Smith punched so hard and that Canelo would talk that nonsense after the fight Una foto publicada por Gennady Golovkin | GGG (@gggboxing) el 17 de Sep de 2016 a la(s) 11:12 PDT
Most people think this fight is a much bigger money fight than Canelo vs Cotto. Why would they offer GGG 10 million or 15 million and end up paying him 7 million? That makes no sense at all. I think your figures are way off.I think Canelo and his opponents are making much more money than you think they are.
I think you're vastly overrating g strings drawing power. No way is it at the level Cotto's was and Canelo/Cotto did 900k. Add in the hangover that the PPV audience is suffering from Manny/Floyd and that g string already has one PPV flop under his belt. A fantastic matchup (Ward/Kovalev) only did 160k. Again, given todays PPV climate, ten million dollars is one helluva an offer for a fighter with exactly ZERO quality wins.
