Andre Ward's boxing skills/showboating.

The showboating won him that round. That's how fights are scored in America. Act like your winning the round and you'll win the round.

I though Ward made himself look stupid when he did that sh1t. At that point (IMO) he was LOSING the fight, but apparently he won all 6 of the last rounds. Maybe he (and Jay Z) knew something nobody else did?

He did this stuff at least one time before and it worked. Kov also did this couple of rounds before and it also worked iirc. They were going against each other all night, toe for toe, punch for punch. Great fight, skill level, styles, drama, controversial decision – I haven't seen something like for that for a while.

That bolo punch almost cost him the round. Ward needs to be a little more humble. I thought it was pure hate before, but he does have a smug attitude. He needs to fix that.

You can't see it from that angle, but ward landed a crippling body shot that nearly sent Kovalev down. The only thing that saved Kovalev from a knockdown was that he fell back on the ref. The body shots, especially all the right hands under the heart, really impressed me.

He did that earlier in the fight and it worked as he stuck Kov with a nice shot. Kov was ready for it this time.
