The threads are filled with it, we all talk about it but will we ever see it? In 2008 when pacquiao beat Dela Hoya it started we all wanted to see the Mayweather fight every time each boxer had a win the talk would start again and we waited 7 long years till it finally got settled, we haven't got 7 years to wait here GGG 34 now this fight has to happen in the next 2-3 years or Canelo will be their when he's ready for the taking, are we going to see this anytime soon? I think not

It will be a way better fight than May Pac was. That's for sure!!
Errm... Ahem... May I remind you of Mayweather's "retirement?"
After Hatton? No one seriously talked Pacquiao as a Mayweather opponent at that time. That didn't start until the Oscar fight, which was after Mayweather's retirement.
What if Rosado outclassess and shuts out Canelo 12-0 killing the big money fight?Rosado is several levels below Canelo. Nobody would match Canelo into such a lightly regarded fighter as Rosado. Canelo would slaughter Rosado and KO him in a few rounds. It would be a total mismatch. Rosado wouldn't win a single minute of the few rounds he would survive. Rosado is a courageous and tough fighter but he is shot to pieces and his days near the top are over.
Mayweather and Pacquiao found some ridiculous ways to avoid fighting each other, but neither ever punked out the way Alvarez did this year to avoid Golovkin. Also, neither is even close to the stardom or skill that Mayweather and Pacquiao had when they began their nonsense.
If Oscar's plan is to replicate Mayweather/Pacquiao, it will blow up in his face very quickly. It already is.

It isn't as big as Mayweather vs Pacquiao but it is big. It is indeed Oscar and nobody else who is delaying this fight. Canelo is his biggest moneymaker and a loss, especially a KO loss would hurt Canelo's money making potential. Oscar is not at all confident Canelo can beat GGG. GGG is 34 and past prime. He isn't getting better, only older. Canelo is 26 and still improving and getting even stronger with every fight. Oscar is stalling this fight off waiting for GGG to show signs of slowing down before he risks his cash cow. Canelo would probably fight GGG right now if it were up to him. Oscar has treated Canelo well and Canelo will honor his wishes and won't fight until Oscar makes the fight. It's all up to Oscar if we see this fight. GGG would fight anytime if a fair and reasonable offer was given him. A flat fee of 10million isn't fair. A 65/35 split of all available money in Canelo's favor would be reasonable and I think GGG would take that offer.
I agree up to the part about fairness. IMO if GGG wants the fight, do what Floyd, Kov and others have done-take a ****ty deal, win, and go on from there.
I also think a huge difference is Floyd and Manny were 2 ATG's. Canelo and GGG are 2 very good boxers, top 10 p4p, but they weren't on the same level.
No. But ODH thinks he can replicate sales by delaying the fight as long as possible. It isn't as big as Mayweather vs Pacquiao but it is big. They will operate the same way because they know as long as they both remain undefeated, once they announce the fight every boxing fan will tune in(casuals and hardcores).
They have to strike the iron while its hot like Ward and Kovalev are doing. The best time to make the fight is right now, fans wants it and GGG is at his peak right now. Hes coming off of 23 stoppages in a row and canelo also has two kos in his last 2 fights. The time is now.
No , its not and never will be no matter how long GoldenBoy tries to postpone and "marinate" it. Them delaying it is actually making it worse because it needs to happen now.
what if Canelo outboxes GGG , he stops punching and loses 10-2 or 9-3 to Canelo, then it wont be a crowd pleaser and no rematch will be warranted.

If Canelo is competitive they can rematch for big money. Unlike Floyd PAC this is a guaranteed crowd pleaser

More than that. IMO He wants to maximize sales and believes if he delays the fight this will increase sales. HBO IMO thinks same as they are not pushing for the fight. We will see.

ODH just thinking about getting GGG at the right time
