I still think he was sick. He looked like he had just puked before the weigh in. They probably don't want to take anything away from Kell so they just maintain he was fine.
everyone in this forum knows i was rooting for brook and still think Brook is great.
But now i bow in front of Golovkin.
He won every round and almost killed Brook in there.
Stop the stupid threads saying how bad Golovkin is, because he is not, he is really a very good fighter.
So don't be stubborn and shut up because he will keep on winning and you will look like an idiot with an excuse each time.
Not sure If trolling but he wasn't getting schooled he said before this fight
"Street fight"
What do you think he was displaying are you idiots?
The people doubting GGG ability have never watched him fight at amateur level.
GGG has no defense at all. He's smart to stay at 160 because he'll get killed against bigger fighters with some skill and power. Ward will destroy GGG at 168.
he won 4 out of 4 rds? thats schooled?
i agree that he looked bad and slow and possibly sick but he was winning the fight by every metric. more punches landed, more damage done, more everything.
he just looked really slow and strange compared to his usual self.
He won every single round and almost stopped him in round 1 so you're grasping at straws.
Can't wait till Trump throws you over the wall where you belong, Chico
He damn sho did not win every round..no way in hell
no, defense was never his biggest asset so it's understandable he took major hits vs a guy who controls distance very well and a good jabber , counterpuncher at that
It is hard to say that and he was still good enough to get the job done fairly easily even if he got hit much too much.
It is something to watch going forward though, if he is that slow and lethargic against a guy like Jacobs that fight is a lot more interesting.
Brook is a very talent fighter with a granite chin, so its only natural he gets his fair share in.
To me it didn't seem like GGG was out of 3rd gear for most of the fight and only stepped it up through the 4th and 5th. Brook was fighting at his limit throughout.
I'd agree with that.
Brook really is world class. Maybe he's not a middleweight but he was always going to do some good work while he was in the fight. By the 5th it was getting too much for him and you could see he was on his way out.
If Brook is in a fight for 5 rounds, it's a certainty that he's going to have a few good moments because he's excellent.

I think what happened was, Golovkin didn't have any respect for Kell's power. perhaps that allowed Kell to get some nice eye catching shots off. Some mustard on those punches too. I do believe Golovkin would have felt them, lke "Ohhh yeah you got me good there", but I don't believe Golovkin was in any danger of being closed to stopped.
Also as Joe said, he didn't look great before the fight, he also said just before the fight he was 100 percent so we have to take his word for that, but maybe he didn't want to make excuses. I don't know.
