Any fights scheduled for the rest of the year?
One fight next Tuesday. After that nothing.
Though, we've been hearing from Thurman the past few days and he's been MIA since the Porter fight. So they're still around. Not to mention Berto, Garcia, ect recently.
Remember when PBC announced a bunch of dates for the summer, but no matches? Die hard supporters were like, "Yeah! Suck it you PBC haters, Al Haymon is da man!" Now, even the crickets have all died. Not a peep. :lol1:it was that idiot hanzgruber who made a thread about new fights which never happened.LOLOL
I just hope he puts on the best fights he can until the money runs out. The Jrock-charlo fight should bet made for October or November. Make Danny/broner or Danny/Berto. Try and get frampton in before the year ends.Spence should get another go as well.
HBO not having a good year left the door open for PBC. I don't think they took advantage of the opportunity as best they could.
I think the problem is boxing is not pulling in any new fans at all. They may have missed the opportunity but does it even matter? Another problem is PBC seems to kill any momentum their stars get by them only fighting once a year in some cases. Porter is one of the only guys fighting big fights back to back. Maybe he's the B side I guess and expendable to them but he seems to have big fights a lot
Yeah seen it bro, that's an absolute joke. A lot of these PBC guys are wasting their primes fighting once a year now.
As a big Thurman fan I'm very disappointed. It's not his fault, but it's very bad for his career.
He should have left Haymon a year or two ago. He wasn't being matched up well and it almost appeared as if he was being ignored by Haymon. Thurman was pushing hard for a Mayweather fight years ago when he still had the image of invincibility, when he was still truly One Time. I just don't think he was appreciated and that he could have benefited being with another outfit and management. Instead, all the focus was put on Garcia and Broner, and even Porter to an extent.
Dan said Thurman almost certainly will be out the rest of this year.

Good news that Danny vs Molina might not happen, hopefully they don't go back to Berto.
The ideal scenario would be to go straight into a unification fight with Thurman. If not, fights with Porter or AB would be very nice.

Who knows at this point. PBC doesn't have any thing scheduled past September 27th.

It's only bad news if DeGale doesn't fight a worthy opponent next.
And no one cared for Garcia-Molina anyway.
But than again, Rafael sources said Garcia-Berto was supposed to happen 2 months ago.
Degale-Jack not happening was the only bad news.
Looks like some good and bad news from Dan Rafaels chat. His sources think the Garcia-Molina fight doesn't happen. He also said the Frampton-Santa Cruz rematch will happen they just don't have a date.
The bad news is looks like Degale-Jack won't happen looks like Degale wants more money than what's available.

That's fine if you don't want to go against college football with your big fights, but keep your big name guys busy with some stay busy fights on the cheap, then they'll be primed and ready for big fights when football season is over.
If you don't want burn through your time buys, give Showtime a weekly series that's inexpensive for them.
showtime is the one that doesnt want to go head to head with college football and MLB playoffs.
The NBC deal is up at the end of the year and FOX deal was only for 3 fights so there isnt exactly any where to out these fights either.

The Jrock-Charlo fight got pushed back because of Charlos eye surgery that one will happen before the end of the year. Berto wanted as much money as danny so thats why that fight got scrapped and why danny is probably fighting Molina next. Eddie Hearn wants to make Broner-Burns i bet that one happens in December in the U.K. Frampton will probably fight in Ireland next and im sure Spence will headline the final NBC show in December.

Haymon doesnt have enough money to get the bigger names more than one fight a year. They can maybe get two in if they are a bigger name like Wilder or Santa Cruz. We should probably get used to seeing guys once a year in the near future or some smaller names will have to start going over to the U.K. where business is booming.
HBO also doesnt have enough money which is why they only have a handful of fighters that they are showing and why they have to do more PPVs.
Likely return December after the College Football Season with some big fights, no rush really. November is already FULL with 2 PPV's in a month on top of having to compete with College Football, I think waiting is actually smart business wise but it SUCKS for us the fans but hopefully they make the way worthwhile with some great match ups
It is only 4 Saturdays in a month people but maybe some Friday Fights while the College Football season is going on would be good though or even Friday Fights on the night before Pacquiao vs Vargas and Ward vs Kovalev would be a good spot
I guess we will just have to wait and see
I agree with your 2nd paragraph but spike won't be back till the 16th of December that's the only channel that did big fights on Fridays.
