Straight from the horses mouth himself. Even in the website address it's listed as "just sad."

Wait what, a Prize fighter fights for money?
Manny in his last career fight does what Floyd did his whole career and you guys are hating?? HAHAHAHAHAHA
1.) Every boxer fights for money. Manny is ONLY fighting for the money.
2.) Sad, that you were too stupid to pick up on this.
3.)Or you're just being an idiot for motives unknown.
4.) Who said it was his last fight, I'm sure there's some more shameless cash grabs left inside him.
5.) Where the **** did Floyd Mayweather come from?
Anybody have anything else to add? Anyone?

Big Pac supporter here but I won't be buying this PPV. I can't support a half azz money grabbing fight when Crawford was there for the choosing!
Word. I'll pass as well.
There's nothing wrong with it. As long as we're all on the same page that the fight is nothing more than an easy money grab and easy fight. Almost 0 percent chance of losing this one.
just like floyd vs berto. if these greats want to go out with gimmie fights and make some extra bank, let them. they gave us their primes, let them go out how they want to go out. fans always want to tell athletes how to end their careers lol
Pacquiao, Just like Mayweather, is a hustler, and hustlers take advantage of every chance they get to make money, they never turn down a paycheck unless they're really secured cuz they experienced poverty and they know how bad it is, so they always wanna feel like there's money coming in all the time, doesn't look like Pacquiao made the investments where his money works for him.
Or maybe he just has an obligation to fight a couple of fights more and wanted an easy fight first, or maybe this is just a victory lap for him to close out a career /deal while looking good, he has nothing left to prove anyways, i'm not buying the fight but i'll watch it somehow some way.
Fighting because he needs money is what the article is about if you read it. That is different then saying he is broke.
Please, learn to read. This has been said to you before by many others.
You take everything as a Manny diss and get all upset and then respond when it wasn't a diss at all. Grow up and stop that.
pac is not getting any younger...that's for sure...
and pac needs to fight now and in the few years he got left to box....
to get as much more $$$ he could for his needs now and for the coming years...to sustain him, his and jinkee's families, friends and his political ambitions....
I just noticed something about the article (apart from the usual stupid fan baiting) that the writer is automatically assuming Pacuiqao has lost all or most of his money. Why does he think that? All Pac is saying is that he has a lot of people he needs to help and boxing is his main income.
I'm sure there are many who are using Pacquiao for his money and his good nature, like they did with Ali all those years ago but it doesn't necessarily mean Pac has lost his fortune.
I have to ask. . . "Where has his moneyyyy gonee?" . . . OKEY, I know Arum's probably fleecing the poor SOB, but this isn't Thurman, Porter purses we're talking about. Pac makes over 20m a fight and the Mayweather fight on top.
Funny how it's always people who assumed Floyd would be the one to go skint.I think its also because Floyd has people looking out for his interests. He did say on some radio show that because of his investments and multiple revenue streams until the day he dies he will always receive seven figure checks a month even if he never fights again. Pacquiao, on the other hand, has no one looking out for his own interests.
As much as Haymon gets hated on these forums, he always takes care of his fighters even if they are not fighting anymore.
Pac admitted he was coming back for a money grab. Pac/Crawford is the bigger money fight. Crawford is a more offensive fighter than Floyd. It will be more entertaining than Pac/Floyd. Floyd is a nullifying action killer. Not crawford. Crawford actually goes for the KO when he has his man hurt.
And it's a smarter money grab fight to pick Vargas over Crawford as I explained why. Crawford wouldn't be as entertaining as Vargas. I like Crawford too but it's pretty obvious.
It means he at least tried to get others besides Vargas. He doesn't think Crawford would make it as entertaining. Can't blame him considering many of us thought Mayweather vs Pac was a shit fight. Do we actually want a repeat of that? Don't think Pac wants to which is why Vargas was the much easier choice between the two. Pac wants the excitement level to stay there for his fights. Wise of him to do so.

What does Broner or Garcia not wanting it have to do with Pac turning down Crawford in favor of Vargas?

He didn't have to pick Crawford. Both Garcia and Broner didn't want it. Shame cause it's no longer about glory with boxers.
