Looks like PBC on Spike had about 531k viewers on Friday night. I can't tell if that's peak or average. It was ranked 90 in the top 100 cable shows on Friday.
For what it's worth... Yvon Michel said today in an interview that they would still make one last attempt at Kovalev.
In short he said they would make an "unrefusable" offer to the Kovalev's camp in case Ward vs Kovalev doesn't happen.
Plan B is to set up a unifying fight with Ward ( if he wins) and use Kovalev as a warm up.
Plan C: Alvarez. As much as Michel tries to hype that fight, my guess is they will wait until the WBC orders a defense against the mando.
Williams has a huge heart, but unlike Kirkland, may be mentally soft. Headbutts, low blows, stuff like that can easily get him out of his game. He has to learn to block that stuff out. What he really has to learn is to RETURN the favor :lol1:! Don't cry about it, maneuver the opponent in front of the ref's view, and sneak one in!
Phew :lol1:...much respect to Top Dog Williams, much respect! He felt the power in the first round, went down, and it looked like a short night for Stevenson. Williams got up, and proceeded to light Stevenson up witn combinations, punches from various angles. Williams got real ****y, tapping his chin, and shaking his head "no", every time Stevenson connected :lol1:.
Williams was too wild though ! You wanna stay in the pocket, fine. But you can't throw wild swings against a bomber like Stevenson. The headbutting, and the knot the grew above his eye was starting to mentally bother Williams too. So I knew he was going to get worn down.
I wouldn't mind seeing more of Williams. He needs to use a LITTLE bit more defense in the pocket :lol1:...but he tremendous heart.
To all the people who think Kovalev walks through Stevenson, you might be shocked if they ever do fight. Stevenson has some serious artillery. That fight would be dangerous for both of them.
I always thought that besides the politics (Showtime vs HBO, GYM vs Main-Events) the other main reason for that fight not happening was that it was a serious threat for both... Kovalev or Stevenson will lose big when that happens... Kovalev doesn't put as much on the line personally facing Ward...
Truth is both Kovalev and Stevenson are a little scared of each other and they cover it with BS contracts obligations...
Same goes for Beterbiev vs both of them... I think that Berterbiev would beat both though... But again I'm immensely biased... :)

Power vs. Power. Every-time each guy gets a KO, it reawakens my thirst for that match-up. People are excited for Ward/Kovalev, but I'm still longing for Adonis/Kovalev. I hope Kovalev lays Ward out so the hype for Adonis/Kov will reach a fever pitch.
I think it's a triangle. For some reason I just can't see Kov beating Ward but I can see Stevenson if he fights the way he fought tonight beat Ward. I can also see Kov beating Stevenson so it be interesting how next year develop with LHW.
A lot of good fights that can happen and probably the division I'm most excited about. A lot of the fights probably won't happen though... GOD DAMN BOXING!

I'd so take it over Ward vs Kovalev (great fight but one I could easily see being a huge anti climax).
If there was one fight I could make it'd be Stevenson vs Kovalev before both get any older/anymore wear & tear.
Boxing badly needs it & the sooner the better.
If Stevenson commits to throwing body shots like he did this fight, he destroys Kovalev. I haven't seen him throw body shots very often, but they were vicious.
