My love for boxing keeps me tuning in to watch these big guys fight but after seeing Wilder hurt that grease ball then start swinging crazy with sloppy looking wide arm punches made me wanna throw up. If this is what the future of American heavyweight boxing is then I don't wanna c it.
Is it the same organization that tests Tyson Fury and sits on results for a year or more while they "investigate?"
You'll forgive me if I have more confidence in VADA.
No because that allegation was BS.
It was the same organization that tested Dillian Whyte and banned him instantly, same with Kid Galahad and Tony Thompson.
Wilder's hooping, round punches come in at worse angles than a kid learning to parallel park his Dad's SUV.
Any of the top heavyweights will walk straight through Wilder's handbag slaps, that's been clear for a while.
But, the key is - don't buy into it. If Wilder wants to keep fighting bums, so be it. If he wants to stay in the boxing "mecca" of Birmingham Alabama, so be it. Eventually, even the locals are going to stop giving a fvck, and he'll fade away.
Joshua is tested year round by an organization who catches more people cheating than VADA. So I wouldn't worry about that.

Wilder doesn't display the skills of a great heavyweight BUT....he does have moderately decent skill for such an athletic big man.
Couple that with his obvious punching power and it makes him dangerous to any heavyweight out there
Right now I think only Luis Ortiz would beat him, and possibly Anthony Joshua (who frankly I would like to see VADA tested.) I like his chances against anyone else.

C that's what ur mind tricks u to think cause HW division been dead for so long. If ur stuck in a island for years with no girls there and 10 years later u finally c a busted looking one, ur gonna think she's fine as hell. Same thing with hip hop, no offense to my southern brothers on here but the south killed hip hop a while ago and now every little mediocre sounding song sounds like a hit to u. U can buy this HW crap they're selling u but I'm not falling for it
Well it is more exciting than when it was just the klitschkos and nobody else. Now you actually got new guys like wilder, joshua , fury, ortiz all in the mix and one will come out on top. Id rather watch them fight than watch the klitschkos jab a bunch of overmatched guys for 12 rounds.

You guys are all tripping
That was a consulate display of elite skill and entertainment
:lol1:
Wilder beats Lennox Lewis, Tyson fury, or any stupid British heavyweight.
Brits can't fight

lil fidel castro knows it is only a matter of time that an exciting American will take over the Heavyweight Division. Meldonium is banned no more good EE heavies.
I thought he looked fine tonight, completely destroyed Big Nipple as expected. It's Deontay Wilder so of course he's going to throw looping punches and be off balance at times, we've seen enough of him to know this is who he is.
What I meant by my post was why overreact on the entire heavyweight division because OP doesn't think Wilder is any good? Seems silly to me. He's either going to lose against a good opponent like many expect he will or he'll turn out better than what some people think. It will sort itself out one way or the other.
Wilder is clearly good enough to beat journeyman and decent contenders. Well find out if he's good enough to beat elite heavyweights in time. We would have found out already if not for Povetkin failing his drug tests.
He looked OK i would say. I don't think Joshua, Klitschko or Fury would have been touched by Arreola at all. But Wilder seems to like a bit of a scrap, so maybe that's why. Giving his audience a little fight.
I agree with the rest of your post. I think Wilder will most likely have a few tune ups when he gets back. Will be interesting to see how his hand and arm holds up to the injuries.
Wilder has funky techniwue for sure, but he definitely has some skill. I like how he uses his arms and hands to manoeuvre his opponents head and body around to create space, for example.
His big problem is finishing a hurt opponent. Finishing is a skill in itself, surprisingly few fighters know how to do it properly. Its about staying calm, keeping the right distance, picking the correct shots and correct combination at the right time. Wilder just goes bat **** mental and reverts back to the fighter who we saw banging out fat hobos in small halls at the start of his career

Aaaaaannnnndddd.....the end!
Fury would school Wilder... Joshua would knock him out
even Whyte would have a very good chance of beating him
Fury is no better than Wilder, not as exciting, but has a bigger mouth..that's it.
Probably should have stopped watching when Vits Klit was being touted as all time. His comp was nothing special..maybe not even that much better given the time frame, and he wasn't as exciting. Blame the promoters and orgs though, they're the one who let this carp go on.
I agree. Here I am sitting watching this HW fight, and honestly, I could take both of them out on the same night. And I weigh 166 right now. Maybe I'm just too ****y and my ego is crazy but I am pretty sure I could run thru Wilder AND I LOVE THE GUY as a person btw.
