This guy is probably the most ducked fighter in the sport. Ever since he schooled donaire its been nothing but shameless ducking from guys like quigg, frampton, and santa cruz.
Does rigo have to move up to face a guy like loma or will he jsut retire with an underwhelming career ?
Rigo needs to break the shackles of Top Rank. He's forced to take whatever ****ty fight Arum wants to make which isn't doing him any favors.
He left Top Rank like 2 years ago maybe 3
lol let the excuses flow!
Rigo and GGG are SHOOK!!!!
Sh1t Reply!
Shook of Who Exactly? Who at 126 is Rigo "Shook" of and same for GGG at 168
Who at 126 us Calling out Rigo and who at 168 besides Ramirez is calling out GGG?
Golovkin is at least willing to sacrifice. Rigo hasn't shown that.
Here's what Rigo wants for a Loma fight: He wants a 124 CW, with a 10 lb rehydration clause and $1M (Or 50/50 split). Someone in his position, with no network backing, can not make those types of demands.
Now what I find particularly funny about this whole situation is that 4 months ago or so, he came out and said he would move up to 126 to fight Leo Santa Cruz. Yet he wanted 124 for Lomachenko?
This hypocrisy cannot stand.
Yep, he also said Loma ran to 130 from him lol. This guy is delusional.
“He took off to 130lbs. I mean, it could be done. Lets do a catchweight. 124lbs. I’m ready to meet him but he’s taking off, he’s scared – he’s going into other divisions. Let them know about the best two boxers, two-time Gold medallists. That would be a great fight.”

Saying "JUST MOVE UP" is beyond stupid and that goes for Rigo as well as GGG. Their body will tell them when it is time to move up, when making weight becomes Difficult or almost impossible. Guys like GGG and Rigo are well into their 30's it is not like they're young so maybe 122 and 160 is their Max Weight Physically given their age which nobody is taken into consideration
For Rigo maybe waiting is the best move to just weight to be honest if he can't go to 126 at be at his best. Johnathan Guzman could be that challenge he so desperately wants especially if Guzman beats Wake in a few more days for the IBF Title. Maybe Jamie McDonnell moves up and fight him :dunno: but yes 126 seems more appealing but who's to say if he move up they will fight him when most of them wanted no parts of him at 122

He always said he would fight Lomachenko at 124 but they don't want that he also said he's down for chocolatito at 120 aka middle ground for everyone. He's just not the kind of dumbass to give all the concessions cause he is the B side, and end up paying for it by getting Crawfored like Gamboa.
HBO won't sacrifice Chocolatito to the fires that are Rigo.
Rigo will never get a big name HBO fight again. Loma is too big now and looks to be moving even further up in weight. Wish they at least try to make that fight happen at least once more though (as Loma is the only boxer near Rigo's weight that has any chance of beating him)...
A Donaire rematch would be nice, but even if Donaire wants it, I doubt Arum/HBO would want it.
Rigo does the exact same thing as Floyd (hit and not get hit, while showing off elite level athleticism)... except one is worth a half billion dollars, and one is barely known outside of hardcore boxing circles... But tell me boxing is not about politics...
In no other sport, would an athlete of Rigo's caliber, get sidelined.
I don't think theres anything he can do to top the Donaire win he peaked too early but at his age it was the best move. Even if he beats Lomachenko or anybody else from 126 nothing will compare to derailing the Donaire bandwagon.

Rigo was lowballed by Lomachenko's camp.
500k for Rigo wasn't enough considering that Loma was getting 850k
Rigo should expect more money since he was coming from a win against a top 5 p4p opponent.
Loma was unknown at the time and had a 4-1 record. He was unknown to even some of the most hardcore boxing fans.
This is a purist match, maximum 97k buys
Rigo was already a star at the time, Loma was the up and comer
Rigo deserved at least 50%

Has Rigo ever gotten into negotiations with those guys? He started pricing himself out of match ups the moment he beat Donaire and then dumped TR and got stuck with whatever crap he has been with since.
50 cent, Jay z, whoever, won't be able to deliver any top fights cos Rigo always wants too much money. He should have taken some short money early on against top names and we wouldn't have to sit through him breaking the jaws of journeymen.
Chococalito Gonzalez vs Rigondeaux at a catchweight of 120 in Miami. A bunch of Cuban and Nicaraguans in South Florida it would be a great fight of 2 P4P's.
Doubt it will happen since HBO is on a "family dollar" budget
Like when Golovkin refused to fight Ward.

Rigo is probably older than his age on record, and he's already small for the weight class at an advanced age, do you not get that? Guess Hagler wasn't great for staying at 160 according to you. Floyd moved down after his fights at 154, not great either I guess.
What a weird post....all i am saying is he is fighting terrible fights, if he cant get good fights then MOVE UP!!!!Lomo wants to fight him and that would be a great fight
Real fighters move UP not Down..CHALLENGE YOURSELF
That's because "real fighters" start their career cutting crazy amounts of weight to get adventage and then only way for them is up.
Rigo started his career fighting bigger guys, moving up even more would be ridiculous.
Anyway - I think Chucky Flores is going to be oredered soon for himand Chucky is a bit crazy with the way he walks through punches so I don't really mind.. after that he needs big fights and it will probably have to be at 126 indeed as all big names are moving up from there.
