Hearn said he had been working and lost 7lbs ...That is after that interview. So that interview is 185 while the picture of him with his team is 178.... Not saying it's true but explaining...

I would not be surprised at 170 walk around weight, but 180 is Canelo territory - thick body, thick legs. I think it's totally legit that Brook walks around at 180lbs. He's a muscular guy and there's been a number of notable WW's & JWW's who walk around that high - Hatton, Bradley, Rios come to mind, though those guys are less muscular and weight-flux in a bad way. Shawn Porter started his pro-career at MW, I've heard he typically walks around 175+. The issue is Brook's frame. It's significantly smaller than a typical MW. And even if he looks good around 160, he's probably going to gas faster.

There's essentially two 'Day of' weigh-ins. The IBF 'Day of' weigh-in is in the morning, so fighters are alot lighter than the one HBO usually does when the fighter arrives at the arena.

Brook is huge. He starts camp at 6'3 220 and cuts down to 5'9 160 to make welterweight. Brilliant LOL. Eddie hearn will be saying all sorts in the lead up to this fight. It wouldn't surprise me if Brook is 'sparring heavyweights and knocking them out'
