Hopkins is even worse in my opinion, Hagler like Golovkin was a small MW, but Bhop was a natural LHW who started to cut weight after he got beat at that weight... Once again his signature wins were WWs, and although Trinidad was legit and proved himself a little over 147, DLH took a dive and was coming off of a beatdown from Felix Sturm, one of the worst robberies i can remember... No one is saying that Brook vs GGG is an incredible fight, it wasn't in the plans, but ****ting all over it, and on Golovkin, is extremely retarded, we have two undefeated p4p boxers going at it, arguably the best in their respective divisions, WWs vs MWs always happened in boxing history... Accept it for what it is and let's hope that it generates enough money and exposure, so that Golovkin can get better and bigger fights...

yep, history has fighters stepping up to fight in megafights, brook isnt stepping up specifically for golovkin, he has said himself that he kills himself to make 147, he cant continue to do it. So in my eyes he is only really stepping up one weight class because he would be at 154 anyway. GGG haters are the most miserable bunch, tune in on september 10th, sit back and enjoy an amazing night of boxing between two great champions leaving it all on the line. Pretty obvious that Brook is huge for his weight, both him and GGG walk around at the same weight. One guy kills himself and drains himself more, that's the difference. I see Brook being in top shape with the additional weight, he will be extremely strong and healthy. There is a reason bookmakers give Brook a better chance than all the Middleweights.

He outclassed Porter, Porter started at 165 and is very strong. I suggest you focus your hatred on the guys who are ducking GGG. FAIL! Duran did not jump from 147 direct to 160 to fight Hagler Duran was the WBA world Champion at 154 going into the Hagler fight. Duran absolutely destroyed a young undefeated fighter by the name of Davey Moore (RIP) to become World Champion at 154: So NO it is NOT The Same but nice try though :lol1:

A few things... 1. Duran, Leonard and Hearns were certified legends in the sport who had already achieved and proved their worth's at their respective weights they previously campaigned in... Kell is not. 2. Leonard and Hearns especially... were big guys. Leonard was bigger than Brook and Hearn makes Brook look like a school child.. 3. I personally don't rate Hagler's win over Duran very highly... he was a lot bigger than Duran and was supposed to win. 4. This farce of a boxing match may be the worst high profile bout ever announced in my lifetime (and yes we did just have Canelo fighting Khan). At least Khan and Canelo were relative in size (Khan weighed in at around 162 on fight night... and reasonable assessments would put Canelo between 165 and 170... hardly miles apart... plus Khan is actually taller and longer than Canelo... and it was fought at 155... basically 1 weight above Khan's normal weight... again, not justifying that bout... but it is better than this one (can you believe that?)... GGG is advertised as one of the hardest hitting MW champions of all time... and how does he show it? By fighting a guy that isn't even fully proven in a division 2 weight classes below his own? Bringing him up to the full 160 limit? Just wow... this is so bad.. I won't be watching it... and I really couldn't care about it any less... my brain is still sore from reading the announcement.

They didn't just jump from 147 to 160 and take on prime hagler. if anything SRL ducked him during his peak years. its actually very ballsy what Brook is doing but I expect him to get destroyed. Also Shawn porter never fought at this imaginary weight class of 165. he started at 154. Brook is 5'9 and muscular but when you compare frame size there is no comparison, I doubt GGG will even feel his punches. that being said..Brook should get some serious credit for being a man in a soft era.

These dudes don't understand or they don't have any comeback. Brook is nowhere near Duran level and never will. Hagler's resume wasn't great till Duran went up in weight to fight him. I'm not defending GGG but I can see the double standards. All MWs are the same to be honest. They beat up easy comp in their weight and wait for the lower divisions to move up.
