Amir was arguably outboxing Canelo before the KO.
Lara/Canelo was close.
How do you see Khan vs Lara?
and lets say Amir is on the same level as in Canelo fight (not taking into account possible effects of being brutally KOed).
Canelo out-thought Khan. He used feints, and worked Khan's body to set up the KO.
That's not too hard when you can render your opponent unconscious and khan could barely ruffle canelo. The whole fight was khan walking a tightrope.
If they were at the same weight class Canelos power advantage reduces.
I can't believe people give can any chance here. He can't outbox Lara, he's a lot smaller, and he has no chin. I thought that'd be case closed..
But he outboxed Canelo in a couple rounds. I think that says more about Canelo's weaknesses, than anything of Khan.
I had Khan 4-1 Canelo
This could be a good fight Lara is inacvtive he would drop rounds but would set khan up for the straight left and hurt him, Khan could survive

He was well behind on all three judge's cards and he clearly lost rounds 4, 5 and was losing round 6. Canelo had him figured out and was hurting him. A Canelo KO win was coming just as sure as death and taxes. Canelo landed more punches than Khan in every round except one round in which he landed the same amount according to the neutral computer. He landed 48 punches to 37 punches landed by Khan. Lara held his own with Canelo and actually landed a few more punches than Canelo in losing a close split decision. Lara is much better than Khan in every possible way. Lara might not KO Khan with a single punch the way Canelo did. Lara would most certainly win every round and KO Khan. The fight would be a mismatch. If you are looking for a reasonably even fight for Khan then rematch him into Garcia. If Khan fights smart and carefully he might beat Garcia but he would probably get KOed again. A boxer's chin sometimes gets weaker after he gets KOed the way Canelo KOed Khan. Let's face it, Khan's chin was already weak before Canelo shattered it once again. Khan was out cold for several minutes.
Khan won the first four rounds and arguably the fifth as well. Not only to me but by many boxing coaches and boxers around the world. He couldnt out box Garcia for more than two rounds yet people mostly pick Khan in a rematch and know and a bit here and there it would have been a schooling lesson for Garcia, yet when it comes to Canelo fight at a higher weight where Khan outperformed his Garcia performance people suggest Canelo wasnt having any difficulty. Canelo was badly missing so many shots in the first rounds it was awful to watch.
And Khan beats Lara, style vs style his style is very good against Cuban boxers. Wide UD for Khan.
If you gave Khan the first 5 rounds then you are just a plain idiot or have an agenda going in that is effecting your scorecard. Fact Khan was being out landed after 5 rounds and didn't have a single round where he out landed Canelo. Canelo landed more shots and obviously had more power on his punches then the ones Khan landed. He also wobbled Khan in the 5th to the point he almost broke his kneecaps to stay up right after getting clocked with a clean hook to the head. Busted up his eye and he had major rib bruising. Even Harold Lederman had it 3-2 after 5 and he was getting steam rolled in the 6th before the KO shot.
Khan in his fight with Algieri landed 218 punches through 12 rounds which is about his average punch output. Against Danny khan landed 92 punches in 4 rounds, almost 30 more then Danny. Against Canelo he was limited to 48 punches through 6 rounds, almost 20 less then Canelo. On pace for career lows Canelo literally took away more then HALF his offensive production and he landed only 28%. That is what you see defensive wizards like Mayweather do to fighters. So don't give me this crap about Khan was winning this fight or up 5-0 in the scorecards. If you had it like that you either don't know shyt about boxing or you had an agenda against Canelo. Khan did NOTHING after the 2nd round but take a beating till he was put to sleep.
Lara utterly destroys Khan.
He is better than him at everything. It's a guaranteed knockout.
After the 2nd round, Canelo was outboxing Khan comfortably. He was in complete control.
Hahaha
Another joke thread by khan nutthuggers.
Cmon Algieri and Diaz were on the verg of stopping khan what do u think sharp shooting Lara would do to him.
Lara by stoppage.
Out of my 3000 posts and more than 4 years on this forum I believe this is my first not thread, but POST about Amir... so joke is on you!
The quality of the forum has declined because of frequent chanting 'nutthuggers' on every single thing that is written these days..
Don't care to see this fight. But if it ever happens, Lara by KO. Everyone knows about Khan's chin, but it's more than that. Lara has pretty good power. Khan wouldn't be able to handle it.
after watching the replay several times, i thought canelo was in much better shape early on than i had initially thought. you can get a bit wowed by the speed and the misses, but if you watch close some of canelo's shots are not only landing, but they're really making khan react. even if khan was touching him up and winning rounds, canelo's power, size advantage, and khan's bad chin were keeping canelo from being distanced too greatly.
lara and khan would be a strange fight, and possibly an awful one. i still haven't seen khan - algieiri. just haven't found the time to watch what i feel like is probably a dull fight.
gotta favor lara. by a lot. bigger, but really only around 160 in the ring. probably much more durable, especially at this stage. 74 inches of reach. maybe a bit taller. khan's got a bad a chin and is coming off of being knocked out cold. khan has faster hands, but ithink lara's got better footwork in terms of turning, ring generalship. etc. i think lara makes khan come to him and picks him aaprt.
maybe khan wins on activity, but you really doubt it. not a fight i care to see. khan's a welterweight. don't care to see him at 154 unless he can't make 147 and be strong.
Khan - Algieri was a much better fight than I was expecting, you should give it a go.
