Let's put it simply. Jermall will lose his title to Julian J-Rock Williams and Andrade will beat the breaks of of Jermell, who was getting OUTBOXED HANDILY by Jackson.
In my opinion from what I've seen so far, Jermell is the better boxer with better defense and footwork. Jermall has more power.
I like their potential, and they have hearts of a lion. Canelo beats both of them though.
The one who beat trout is pretty good.. his body frame is big don't think he can make 154 that much longer.... couldn't see him beating Jacobs, canelo or ggg at the next weight class...
And the one with the WBC belt is and above average fighter..he was getting out boxed for a minute there by another fighter with some big flaws in his game ....... as long as there matched right they will be fine but dont see any next level potential there. Was aliitle disappointed to be honest
The names are too confusing, one of them needs to get knocked out so there can only be one.
:lol1:
Was underwhelmed as well. Definitely wasn't anything to make you think you have to catch them next time they're on. Hopefully there's more improvement in them.
I think both are world class, and def top 5 at 154..
Not sure how long they will be there... They are kinda at the point of theirs career where Devon Alexander was pre-bradley.. We will know more about how good or great they are when they fight Andrade, canelo, Lara...
None of them impress me, they are decent at best. They don't even have a signature punc, and I still can't distinguish them by name, the one that fought Trout is popular for his jab but his jab overrated as fuck, at least listening to the callers on ThaBoxingVoice.
Neither of them were impressive against what I believe to be their toughest opponents to date.
For the first time in his life, Jermell fought someone who did more than take punches to the face while coming forward, and lost every round up to the knockout.
Jermall's so used to fighting outclassed opponents that he didn't know how to deal with Trout in the spots where Trout stepped up the pace. What particular bothered me in this fight was Charlo's body language. His movement was very slow, as if he was relaxed to the point of appearing groggy. Like he expected to go in there, land the jab with that big right hand, and go home early.
You never know how good a young fighter is until they fight someone willing to offer some resistance. Both opponents offered resistance that night and made the Charlo twins look basic.
Jermall Charlo offensively he can increase his punch output.Defensively he needs to work on head movement.Footwork he needs to use his legs more step back avoid punches. The trout fight performance wise offense B Defense C.Jermall height reach advantage great jab power in both hands he'd give canelo serious problems
Jim Gray: "so you want to move up to 160?"
Jernay: "nah I think ill stay right here after seeing what canelo is going thru"
Jim Gray: "you afraid of Gennady?"
Jernay: "No I just.... I... you know... I want to stay with my twin brother.. hehe"
Jim Gray: "So you're afraid"
*Jernay signals one of his buddies to come interrupt*
*Jernay friend breathes on him and pushes him*
*Jernay distracts Jim Gray*
