People always talk about GGG's super duper power that everyone says he has but when's the last time he knocked someone out cold? If he has the power of Zeus why isn't he knocking these D and C level fighters out?
Last ten fights..
Wade: quit
Lemiux: got beat up into a TKO
Monroe Jr.: quit
Murray: got beat up into a TKO
Rubio: quit
Geale: quit
Adama: got beat up into a TKO
Stevens: got beat up into quitting
Macklin: body shot into a KO
Ishida: Knocked out in 2013
It was in back in 2013 when he KO'd Ishida that he had actually knocked someone out cold. When I think about elite power punchers I think Mike Tyson, Joe Louis, Sonny Listen, prime David Tua, and Earnie Shavers among others. These guys would really knock you the fuk out cold. So is GGG's power that of a boxing Gawd or is it just solid power?
GGGs power is without doubt. Ask his opponents in post fight interviews. They acknowledge it. Do you recall the beat down he gave Rosado? They stopped the fight because Rosado's trainer pleaded with his father "he's going to kill him, we have to stop it". I sincerely believe he toys with most of his opponents until he's ready to get them out of there. "Present for my fans Max". Highest knockout percentage in MW history. Yeah I would say he hits like a bull.
anyone with eyes can see he has very very good power (to have great power you have to ko great opponents though).
He doesnt get a lot of one punch ko's because he doesnt have a lot of speed, which means his opponents arent getting caught with the punch they dont see coming most of the time.
also, his opponents are normally on the defensive very early on, and getting a one punch ko vs a guy who is purely trying to survive is very difficult
^
What are you talking about? The point is he's not knocking guys out cold, nobody said he doesn't have good power. I guess your too stupid to realize the premise of the thread.
His power is better than good, retard.
People quit because they don't want to take more of a beating. I think it says a lot for his power that he's dropping guys with shots while they're in full defensive mode. Of course you're too stupid to understand that.

Its pretty obvious GGG doesnt punch like people such as Tua, Tyson, Jackson and a few others. His punching style is completely different if he was to throw wide looping shots at full blow I am pretty certain he would be putting a few more people to sleep. Take Lemieux for example he throws them big looping shots however his power although its brutal doesnt put people to sleep. You have to respect his power even whilst being at close range he is putting people on skates.

I think his power is very similar to marvin hagler's..
Not a bomber like tito or julien jackson,, more methodical and breaks down opponents and if he catches you flush he can hurt you badly
Pretty much, break you down, beat you up but people around here and on HBO talk like he's knocking people out cold left and right when he's not.

I believe his style is not trying to destroy you with one punch but to demolish you punch by punch and that's what he does. You hater can go suck dicks.
His power is godlike, out of this world, that's why he KO's hw's and cruisers in sparring
He doesn't have many one punch KO's because his opponents cower in fear
as soon as they feel GGG's discombombulating power, the opponents become gun shy, they retreat into defensive shells or run for their lives. It's hard to spark out people cold when they're in survival mode.
Most sleep inducing KO's, like Canelo's over Khan, JMM's over Pac etc, need an element of surprise, or need to be nasty counterpunches (counters are more damaging than normal punches) or a combination of both. Nasty one punch KO's usually come from punches you dont expect and dont see coming. GGG can't use those punches because his opponents are in survival mode most of the time, gritting their teeth and tucking their chin permanently because they know they're facing a monster puncher who can ice them at any given point
that's why GGG pummels them into submission or forces them to quit instead. GGG doesn't even need to put everything in his punches to do it
Golovkin has legit power....
Probably the best puncher i have seen in boxing since tito and manny were in their primes
You can question a lot of things about GGG, but power isn't one of them
He is not a huge guy but he is very solid, compact. Boxers have said that he doesn't have that one punch KO strength but it's like a mule kick in every punch, even the jabs are like straight rights. He breaks guys down over the course of the fight but what takes other boxers 9-11 rounds to achieve damage wise, he is able to do in 2 or 3 rounds on average.
When more than a few guys say that he hits as hard as heavyweights and light heavyweights, I'd tend to believe them.
Yea I agree with he breaks you down, beats you up but the way people talk about his power is ridiculous.
But you compared him to HEAVYWEIGHTS lmao
Did you not see the "among others" part? Valero, Sugar Ray Robinson, Julian Jackson, Wilfredo Gomez were all non heavyweight devastating punchers that would knock you out.
