better than roman? trout and lara are better than niida who was #1 and champ for 4 years, yaegashi who was lineal champ and is now a 3 weight world champ, and estrada who is ranked #1 and is one of the best p4p fighters right now? i'm going to go with no.
Golly, you sure do love those rankings and Lineal Titles when it suits you don't you?
By losing twice? That's interesting :cool2:
He lost the first fight
He paid the referee off in the second that and on top of both fights he was likely juiced up to the eyeballs on all sorts.
Floyd is so blatantly cheating I mean it's so damn obvious all the evidence is out there for people to see he's one of the worst guys for it.
Number 1 P4P, beating GGG would be a better win than ANYTHING Floyd or Pacquiao has ever achieved.
Floyds beat plenty of hype jobs. Manny was one of them
It all depends. If Kovalev beats Ward and Floyd comes back that is 1 and 2 for sure. It depends how you rate Chocalatito also.
I think GGG is a beast ,but he still hasn't beaten anybody better than c+ level. That's not his fault. I just hold guys like Kovalev, Ward, and Crawford (if he beats Postol) in much higher regard. So of Canelo beats him I'm not sure it makes him top 3 maybe not even top 5.
If Canelo beat GGG, I'd put him as my #1 P4P unless/until Kovalev beat Ward, in which case I'd amend Canelo to #2 behind Kovalev.
Some sources already say Canelo is the #1 P4P and that Golovkin is #3 (with Kovalev in #2).
If GGG beats Canelo, on the other hand, where would you guys put him?
Is Golovkin a special fighter? Because if he is, that is grounds for P4P#1.
Canelo is already P4P #1 on boxrec
But nah, in all honesty, Ward or Kovalev deserve #1 and #2
I think it depends on the performance.
That's ridiculous. "Kovalev's resume ain't that great verse a 50 year Bhop and over-the-hill Pascal"
um.. if performance matters, the way he beat them^ was devastating. Hopkins couldn't win a single round on a single card. Pascal who was never knocked out LET ALONE KNOCKED DOWN was dropped and KO'd by Kovalev.
For me he would be top 3 if he were to beat GGG (he won't).
I think the Kovalev-Ward winner will probably earn the top spot.
But I really can't tell you until I see the fights happen. There is more than just winning or losing when it comes to being that highly rated on a P4P list
He'd be either at 2 or 3. I'd have him behind the kovalev-ward winner, and #2 would be a toss-up between canelo (if he beats ggg) and chocolatito. Alot of it depends on what gonzalez does in that same time frame. He would have to beat either Estrada or inoue, otherwise I would definitely have canelo ahead. Hell, the kovalev-ward loser could still be #2 depending on how the fight actually plays out.
It depends on who you ask I guess, I think it would be a great win for him, his best so far, but if you're one of the guys who claim Golovkin is a hype job that's never fought anybody, they cant really bump Canelo up on their P4P list for beating a guy like that can they?
But what happens if he beats ward??
If conelo beats ggg he becomes #2 behind ward if he beats kolv ....conelo right now already beat better prime fighters the kolv and roman gonza

He would easily be #1 or #2. His resume is even now much better than Kovalev's. I'm a big Killer Kov fan, but please, a 50 year old Hopkins and two wins against an over-the-hill Pascal are not that great.
