I'm not sure if this has been asked before. Since both Canelo and Pacquiao laid an egg vs Mayweather, which of the two would you consider did better versus Mayweather?
Them Versus Mayweather:
Overall Punches: Canelo threw more punches than Pacquaio and landed at a tid bit higher percentage.
Jabs: Canelo threw more jabs and landed more and at a higher percentage than Pacquiao.
Power Punches: Pacquiao threw less power punches and landed more than Canelo and at a higher percentage.
Mayweather Against Them:
Overall Punches: Mayweather threw more overall punches against Canelo and landed more and at a higher percentage then he did vs Pacquiao.
Jabs: Same as above, Mayweather threw more jabs and landed at a higher percentage against Canelo then he did vs Pacquiao.
Power Punches: Same as above, Mayweather threw more power punches and landed at a higher percentage against Canelo then he did vs Pacquiao.
Looks like Mayweather was more aggressive vs Canelo and more accurate against him than he was vs Pacquiao, but at the same time, Canelo had more success in landing against Mayweather than Pacquiao did.

Other Factors to Consider:
Canelo was just 23 years old, pre-prime, his first big event and I won't say weight-drained but by agreement, he weighed in 2 lbs below the weight limit, and Canelo is naturally bigger than Mayweather.
Pacquiao was past prime, he was a veteran in terms of big fights/events, he's naturally smaller than Mayweather and supposedly had a an arm injury.
Score Cards:
Mayweather vs Canelo
116/112 Mayweather
114/114 Draw
117/111 Mayweather
Mayweather vs Pacquiao
116/112 Mayweather
118/110 Mayweather
116/112 Mayweather
Everything considered, what letter grade would you give each Canelo and Pacquiao's performance vs Mayweather?
Obvious answer is Manny. Canelo for as skilled as he is was gonna have one big issue with Floyd and that was because you cannot outbox Floyd in his prime or even close to it.
Not to mention, Canelo has some of the slowest feet i ever seen in an really good/elite fighter. Even though he barely missed FM in a lot of exchanges, and a lot of people barely miss but still....he was ill equipped in that fight.

Pacquiao. You can make a case of a draw or a victory for him http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/boxing/article-3077424/The-punch-statistics-prove-Floyd-Mayweather-fortunate-beat-Manny-Pacquiao-unanimous-decision.html
I wouldn't say Canelo looked like an amateur, even after the fight Mayweather called Canelo an all around good fighter and he usually doesn't say that about his opponents. In fact even today he has shown Canelo a lot of praise. It was simply a case of Canelo strengths being something that Mayweather was a master at.
Pacquiao did better though, in spots it showed that he not only belonged but you saw remnants of what made him great. Even Mayweather admitted that Pacquiao was better than he expected, the biggest issue is that Pacquiao fought in a way that was never going to get him the victory, not that I think any other way would have did it for him but that was the biggest issue.
Canelo looked like a total amateur against Floyd.
Pac had a little bit of success at least.
And Floyd fought Manny with a lot more respect and caution compared to the way he fought Canelo.
Pac landed clean, won some rounds.
Canelo lost each and every second of the fight, cards were some of the worse in the history of boxing closely followed by Cotto vs Canelo cards.
....hummmmmm, do you see a pattern here?
If you look really close they dont land and Floyd shakes his head and smiles .
Pretty much both in the same boat here , what we need is Manny to fight Canelo at 152 that would be fun .
Canelo's most significant punch was when he hit the ropes. I would rather have Canelo v GGG, not another WW at 155.
Manny's flurry in Rd's 4 and 6 were more than anything Canelo did in the whole fight.

canelo landed more than pac at a higher pct, both looked really bad, thats how good floyd is...
:lol1: :lol1:
No dude, Pac won a couple rounds. Canelo won none.
Pacquiao actually won some rounds. I think Canelo lost every second of every round.
It's all about styles though, so these threads don't matter. Pacquiao is more aggressive even at an older age then Canelo who is a boxer-puncher and wants to counter more by nature, so it was always a bad match up stylewise for Canelo (despite being bigger/younger).
I had Canelo winning 4 rounds (really 3 because Floyd gave him the 12th)
Pacquiao made it competive, Canelo couldn't even lay his hands on Floyd. The fat kid got schooled.

I don't know. Depends on how you look at it. Manny looked lost and frustrated chasing Floyd around the ring and throwing at air. And he looked horribly tentative. He was so worried about Floyd's counters that you could visibly see him thinking and hesitating in spots where he had opportunities to let his hands go. There were a lot of garbage rounds in that fight where Manny could've stole them by simply being busier, but Floyd had him neutered out there.
But Canelo -- he was getting bullied and walked down at points of that fight. Which was incredible considering Canelo's size, strength, and youth advantages he had in the fight. Manny, for as neutered and pathetic as he looked for much of that fight, at least stunned Floyd on a couple of occasions, including one point where he rocked him leading Floyd to shell up like a turtle. I don't recall Canelo having one single decent moment in his fight with Floyd.
Whatever doe. They both looked terrible.
Actually they both looked pretty bad. Mayweather absolutely clowned Canelo. He made him look like he was stuck in mud. Pacquiao looked like a little kid in there with Maweather. Pacquiao had a few flurries but for most of the fight he looked lost.
