floyd was a few fights removed from 140, where he easily made weight. he went to the full 154 limit to face de la hoya, who was the WBC champion of the world. de la hoya called all the shots and made all the rules. floyd weighed in at 150, meaning he didn't even cut weight. he was a small welterweight, undersized, facing the top 154 pound champion in the world and beat him straight up. My favorite thing after the fight was over was that Oscar could not answer why he stopped using the jab. Funny how a lot of guys seemed to stop doing what they do best around Floyd.
