I personally dont like the possible BS fight of Cotto vs Kirkland. I'll suggest for Cotto to call-out GGG @154 on a non-tittle fight.
It will be outright sell-out and it will make easy over 600K PPV.
Will GGG take it or duck Cotto @154?

If it's for any belts, I.e. Gennady's middleweight belts, there will be no talk of this catch weight nonsense. If Cotto doesn't like 160, fight in super welter. Canelo is the most absurd, being 175 on fight night in his last few. He should be fighting in cruiser, to be honest.
However I digress. Catch weights are *****. Abel Sanchez told Elie Seckbach recently the same thing, just in slightly different words. Bottom line...middleweight fights are at 160. A fight at any other weight is something else..certainly not middleweight. Only way I could see it happening is If Cotto wanted to fight GGG without Gennady's belts on the line, which I'd watch, just cause I'm a big GGG fan and usually root for Cotto

And GGG wins and everyone says Cotto has been shot for years. :dunno:
Makes ZERO sense for either guy. Cotto didn't want to fight GGG when the middleweight belts were on the line so why fight him now for no belts and less reward? And GGG would look like bad for turning down a fight with Canelo at catchweight 155 only to instead fight Cotto at 154.
Miguel has shown no interest in fighting Golovkin, even when it was in high demand.
I see no reason to believe he would want it now. Golovkin isn't exactly willing to fight anywhere but 160 either.
when Kneeguel was MW champ, he used to run and hide in a dumpster whenever GGG's name was mentioned
I have no reason to think his behaviour regarding GGG will change, now that he's not the champ anymore
Cotto will always duck GGG, now, in the past, in the future. forever
That fight in particular, with all the circumstances you said, makes no sense. Fighting GGG at 155+ for the titles makes more sense. Why take a fight you may lose, and if you win, you win nothing, you get a win over a guy who for the time being is a nobody measured in history. You get a loss, you just lost against a nobody (for now). Titles have to be on the line.
