Canelo needs to cut the BS

The belt he has is pretty much illegitimate until he defends it at middleweight. Its pretty much just a fake belt right now, once he defends his belt at 160 against GGG or a real middleweight the criticism will stop. But as of now, he has no business being called the 160 champ, because he isnt. GGG is That's your opinion, and I disagree. Alvarez beat the man who beat the man. Until the WBC does something, Alvarez's claim to being middleweight champ is arguably stronger than Canelo's claim, for the simple fact that he actually beat a champion to get his belt, rather than simply having belts handed to him. Because, even with the fight being at 155, Alvarez beating Cotto tops anything that Golovkin has ever done as a professional fighter.

Canelo will fight Golovkin in September (unless Khan somehow wins) Oscar don't want the fight because he's his only big star left and he has a big chance of losing but Canelo is known for going against Oscar's advice to take risks. Only problem I have with what you said is what's the point at staying at 155? He probably can't make 154 anymore so he's stuck at 155. What happens when he can't make 155 he's gonna stay at 156 for awhile? Then he can't make 156 anymore what then? I just don't understand the 155 thing. If you can't make 154 just go up to 160. It's not hard when he walks around 170+ Because, after the Floyd defeat, Alvarez was a junior middleweight without a 154 title to go after (Floyd had the WBA/WBC belts, Lara had the secondary WBA belt, Bundrage was a terrible fight, and the WBO title was in a special kind of hell). With Canelo already starting to emerge as a star, he was a junior middleweight who was bigger than the 154 titles that were available. The moment Canelo can no longer make junior middleweight (doesn't seem to struggle too badly getting down to 155, so 154 isn't impossible), Alvarez and his camp go up to 160; why only give your body back a single pound when the pressures of the weight cut have already come down? The WBA, WBC, and IBF 154 belts are all outside of Alvarez's reach at the moment; WBO champion Liam Smith is sitting right there, ready to fight if Alvarez gets pushed off of 155 with the WBC belt.

So far Canelo has fought everyone that people said he would duck, Lara..Trout etc so i would ease off him a bit, yes his Team are trying to force that fight for later on and thats why all this politics is now in play regarding weight.....I would never support a fighter who has a mandatory and his trying to defend that belt at a catchweight.

Cotto was doing the same **** A-side stuff doe at least Canelo is willing to fight GGG even if it's at 155, which should be doable, or didn't GGG challenge Floyd at 154 Cotto never had the slightest intention of fighting GGG. Alvarez didn't spend nearly two years chasing the Cotto fight because of the green belt. Canelo's camp isn't going to disrespect the WBC, but they're not going to let the WBC derail their plan.
