My stance on the Khan fight is this: It's not a BAD fight. The fact that it's for the MW championship is what makes it ridiculous.

The only 50/50 fight was Lara. He clearly beat Cotto (116-112) and Trout (115-112). Both good, competitive fights, but Canelo won both. To say he looked like sh*t is far from the truth. I suggest you rewatch round 12 of the Cotto fight, Miguel is clearly hurt badly with a body shot. Dont get me wrong, i'm an objective person. I scored the Cotto fight for Canelo 116-112. The Lara and Trout fights, you have to be pretty generous to Canelo to give him the decision for either of them. But I will accept any close scores. However the scores of the official judges clearly shows the guy is being protected and is impossible for anybody to win a decision against him in a competitive fight. The open scoring during the Trout fight made me ****ing sick.

there was a video on esnews of Robert garcia father ex trainer of fernando vargas just flat out hating on canelo for taking the khan fight. he sounded completely angry and full of hate towards canelo. saying that canelos team doesn't believe in his abilities and his skills are nothing special. add him to the list ala marquez,chavez sr and some many other ex mexican fighters and trainers who completely shiz on canelo every chance they get.... and as a fan of nelo I'm just getting sick of all the hate and jealousy this 25 year old kid gets. look at all the fighters he's fought lara,kirkland,floyd,cotto,trout. he's fought everyone and pick khan to fight because it's the fight that could get the most recognition out of all the other scrubs that were avaliable. we need more fighters like nelo. fighters who are not scared to test there abilities. after this fight he'll go on to fight triple g. so what givezI am a big Canelo fan and I am sick of all the hate he is getting. He wasn't exposed because he beat them and he was now considered top 10 pound for pound by many. I think these Mexican Trainers and ex-fighters like supporting the limited warriors like Alfredo Angulo, and Yori Boy Campas. Canelo is a star whether they like it or not.

When you chose not to move up to 160 when you're holding a world title in that division and have fought in that division for 2 years or so maybe longer THEN you can absolutely understand why some people are critical of him. He's fought at middleweight for a long time, forced 154lbs fighters up to a catchweight due to his financial pulling power due to his fanbase, he has beat some great opponents but we've got to be honest he has been a ***** about fighting Golovkin. Why make us wait, Is Canelo trying to find a way out of this one? Canelo was quick to get the Lara fight done but now he is stalling with a guy he knows a guy he has sparred, I think he is scared.

Trout, Lara, Mayweather and Cotto. Two of those fights we heavily demanded Canelo take, that being Lara and Trout. Only a matter of time before boxingscene gets overwhelmed with the notion that he's scared of Golovkin and once again, that gets made. It's the same ol' cycle over and over.

What has Lara achieved exactly? These are my thoughts as well. He's a god fighter but some of these same posters disregard other more accomplished fighters but act as if Lara is Hall Of Fame. But in reality he only has one spectacular win over Trout.

Boxing professionals and insiders respect Khan, but they sometimes laugh at the fight because Canelo is in a whole different weight class. As Rosado says, a 140 pounder coming up to MW is going to get KTFO even if he has a decent chin, which Khan doesn't. And what is "speed" going to do? Canelo is going to hurt Khan at some point without any question and end the fight. People respect the two fighters, but not the matchup.
