I don't think Ortiz is interested. His team never responded to this:
Povetkin Has Agreed To Fight Usyk, Luis Ortiz or Dillian Whyte
ortiz is the guy who likes to talk big but when the fight is offered...i'm not ready!!! or when someone else signs a fight "wait fight me instead!" such bad timing...
Lmao, because Jennings went in there to survive.. not win
Povetkin goes in ANY fight to knock that mofo out!
You should really watch that fight again if you think Jennings went to survive.
Never heard of the original Kid Chocolate I guess...
Not sure what you're trying to say, but Garfios made a strong point. Ortiz has been fighting in international competition for years. His real age was known very early on. If he started to lie about his age at any point, it would've been very easy to see. This isn't a difficult concept to grasp. The man may look old beyond his years, but it's just not likely Ortiz is older than he says.
It's obvious Povetkin would be Ortiz toughest test to date; while Ortiz would be one of Povetkins biggest win as well depending on how you look at it. Povetkins best win? Huck, a cruiserweight? With Ortiz, It's Jennings but who was Jennings outside of a guy who beat down Spizka and beat down by Klitchko (in what could be Klitchkos last major win).
Personally I only find this fight in Ortiz favor because of the variety of skills the old man holds.
Haha People don't stop for a moment to think of this stuff. SMHnot at all, they just start talking out of their arse, and that is their bible, and when you point that to them they just look the other way and keep on going with the bs...
When you been fighting international amateur, it is really hard to fake your age, Cubans start their career at a early age, so I don't see any discrepancy with his age, International athletes are very easy to confirm

If Ortiz is a day below 84 I will be shocked. I've spent a lot of time working with asylees and I know how off the actual birth dates can be. Still better than the refugee treatment of 1/1/guess a year, but not a whole lot better. I'm pretty sure 99% of people from Somalia living in the US have the January 1st birthday.

3 members of this forum actually watch heavyweight division as evidenced by poll results
fl0 mos/p4ctards: "uhhhh this king kong ones nickname is cooler" *clicks*
He was lucky to get that deciding against chagaev and huck. Byrd was middleweight ffs and how long ago was that? He did destroy Perez but Jennings did also have a better outing against Klitschko then him.
When was Byrd a middleweight?
Jennings did better against Wlad because the ref actually bothered to enforce the rules. Hardly a fair comparison, under the circumstances.

This thread seems like people are already getting their excuses ready for Wilder to duck his mandatory AGAIN? Hilarious.
Povetkin has only Wilder on his radar and if Wilder ducks him then he better vacates that belt asap. So sick of these Divas in boxing today.
Takam is on a similar level to Jennings (both drew with Perez), though the manner in which Ortiz took Jennings out was more impressive. Povetkin has wins over Chagaev, Byrd and Huck who are all very respectable opponents (though the first two were past prime when he beat them). He also destroyed Perez who nearly fought Jennings to a draw. Based on that he's quite a clear level above. Ortiz would still be the slight favourite if the fight was made, but I'd expect a much closer contest.

84 years old? That's ridiculous. He's clearly not a day over 70.
