He hasn't signed anything. He just said so the other night.
We already spoke about that, no idea why you replied to this again.

You haven't been paying attention if you think hes not ready to retire.
Lol if you're trying to confuse me you're doing a great job, once again I have no idea why you mentioned that part of the video.
Mijo, I've been to more fights live than you've ordered PPVs.
Considering I'm in the UK that is very possible since most American fights are free here if you have skysports and Boxnation.
It doesn't answer my point though, you said Barrera was dropped by a guy with 7 fights but if you watched the fight instead of just checking Boxrec you would see that it was a slip. You didn't watch the fight before you made that statement. What's the difference between you and the guys that say Caparello dropped Kovalev??.... exactly, actually watch the fight next time.
Ward has to put on the best performance of his career against Barrera to show us that he's ready for Kovalev. And even if he destroys him, it's still a big step up when he faces Krusher. There's no one who can prepare him for that power.
I fully expect Krusher to brutally stop Bumdre whenever this fight happens
Nobody is beating Kovalev anytime soon, aside from probably Beterbiev, whom would also flatten Bumdre with ease.
LHW division firmly belongs to Russia
He's obviously not going to retire, it sounds like a lot of people are just criticising Ward for the sake of it. If he did do that without a very good reason then he deserves all the hate in the world and I wouldn't defend him but c'mon that's just reaching, deep down you know that won't happen.
Yeah cause falling out with a promoter he was signed with for 10 years means he won't fight Kovalev....

Unbelievable. You would never have thought Ward has SIGNED A CONTRACT to fight Kovalev. The fight is clearly happening (barring a upset loss), this isn't like the Stevenson situation.
He hasn't signed anything. He just said so the other night.
That guy doesn't watch anything he just goes to boxrec and pretends he knows what he is talking about.
A lot of people counting Ward out and making up stuff already, I keep seeing people say Ward can't work the clinch with Kovalev, you have to understand that Ward doesn't clinch to survive... He works the body and head constantly and tires the opponent out in the clinch. All I see from Kovalev is headlocking and rabbit punches and people say he has an advantage in the clinch. Kovalev has advantages but infighting is not one of them.
I get it Kovalev looked good in there so people are hyped on him but that was a pointless rematch of a fight he easily won the first time. Most of you thought the fight would be even more one sided and end quicker so I don't get the excitement about the result.

Ward is just too inactive, he is highly skilled and would neutralize a lot of Kovalevs work but I think he would catch something big in the middle rounds.
Is there a reason so many people keep rewarding Ward despite doing absolutely nothing in like 4 years?
We may as well recognize Joe Calzaghe as the #1 LHW right now if we are going to give Ward the same benefit of the doubt.
No one rewards him. They just respect his skill. He's had one of the best defense I've seen from any division before but it's impossible to know how he looks now.
People seem to hype up kov too much I think. Not sure why people went all crazy about this fight. Pascal basically balled up after 3 rounds. Only way I see kov winning is he have to be a lot stronger then ward and have body shots affect ward movement or wards just gonna clinch weave and avoid getting hit all day because I think kov hand speed is too slow.

I have to see Ward's next fight before I can give a clear assessment.
With his high ring IQ, hard training, youth, and defensive skills, we can expect him to go the full 12 rounds. I don't know if he has the firepower to compete with Kovalev. He'll be pushed out of his regular game, he'll need to adapt.
If the skills are still there, Ward will be fine. His transition to 185, I suspect will be smooth due to the fact that guy walks around at about 180-190. Ward by 12 RD UD in a very clear victory.

S.O.G has to many tools for Kovalev. I dont see what ya'll see the KOs are nice but wins over Old man Bhop Pascal and Cleverly dont impress me. Now look at Wards resume and think about that for a minute.
They were impressive man, the way he did it too. I mean sure we saw Fonfora give Clev a beat down too afterward, and we saw Grachev already KO Sillakh, but we've never seen B-Hop and Pascal get a beatdown like that, ever. Hopkins beat Pascal in competitive fights. And Jones and Dawson outboxed Hopkins. But beatdowns like that, we've never seen that. They were definitely impressive.
Now I can say the same for Ward too, we've never seen anyone beat up Froch or beat him handily. He may have been outboxed by Dirrell but that's it, Ward certainly was the only fighter to really beat Froch. Kessler has only been beaten by two other SMW great Froch and Calzaghe.
I think that both of these guys are great, and it's a 55-45 fight leaning towards Ward by decision.
What is wards best win above 168?
Now compare that to Kovalevs. It gets even muddier for ward when you realize hes already past his best days whereas Serg is right in the middle of his.
What was Roy Jones Jr's best win above Light Heavyweight before he beat Ruiz at Heavyweight?
What was Thomas Hearn's best win above Super Middleweight before he beat Virgil Hill for the Light Heavyweight crown?
Hopkins at aged 49 took Kovalev 12 rounds, while admittedly taking a real beating.
Andre Ward is 31 and hasn't taken much punishment in his career. He has one of the best defences in boxing and is an very accurate offence.
No doubt Kovalev starts favourite if the fight happens, but I will back Ward to win a close decision.
It is really weird. When I saw crusher about 3 years ago I thought he looked too robotic and would not go too far. How wrong was I? LOL He still looks robotic to me though, but he can definitely thread a needle with those power shots and move. He is no one trick pony.
If Ward does fight him it was be a rough night. When you have Kovalev type power any mistake an opponent makes can have them visit the canvas. When you know you have to go rounds against him you are eventually going to be tasting his power as he also has skills to land it. The guys who probably stands the best chance against him are Beterbiev and Stevenson, as they have the type of power that could get him out early before he gets his own power landing.
That's a ****ty way to analyze the skills of a fighter. Just watch him fight. He's got some skills.
Ok, so who is the best opponent he has displayed these skills against?
Oh, nobody. Awesome. I remember when people thought Adrien Broner was the next big thing because he was putting his awesome "skills" on display against fighters who weren't very good. Then, when he stepped up against a higher caliber opponent, he got exposed as being nothing more than a loudmouth who was directed by good management.
So again, what is SB best win?
I see the Krusher band wagon is getting full standing room only lol how many of these same fans were fans a yr ago? ward vs kovalev would be a great fight i hope to see it happen SOON!
