I don't necessarily mean what's the best game...but your favorite. I got greatest heavyweights for sega genesis. Maybe it's just nostalgia cuz i was a little kid...but that game was the best. I rented it from blockbuster and never returned it lol. I'd still play it today if i could get my hands on a genesis.
What's your fav?
The nostalgia....

Fa g body spammed me. I never played on an Xbox controller before the tournament so I wasnt comfortable using the side step counter technique, couldn't pull it off like I could on the ps3. Lost a split decision to a body spammer smh. Felt like beating his ass in the parking lot lol but I let it go.
OMG that body spam with the jab!!
HATED when people did that but I developed a way to deal with it lol.
Haha I remember that. You had to train extra hard between fights and get perfect scores or get fat. Roy Jones being fat and bloated on the back cover...in fact here it is

Lol@ fat roy...i forgot about that
Fight Night round 4.
Had a hot girlfriend at the time, I annoyed her playing it all the time.
i brought it just as it come out, had some legendary fights online.
showing my age a bit but boy did I love playing barry mcguigan world championship boxing on the commodore 64 that game rocks it was so playable and recently I played it on my laptop with a c64 emulater and its still awesome , I still use names of boxers in that game on fight night champion , boom boom Barnett flash fenwick jack iron orr great game , also super punch out on the super Nintendo is still a great play with bald bill , mad clown , super macho man !!! great fun game.
One great thing I remember about Fight Night Round 2 was how you could jump weight divisions whenever you wanted and unify titles. The only problem was as your fighter got older, his body would lose muscle tone and his face would cut up ridiculously easy. My fighters would be overweight by the time they hit 36.
And who remembers dudes being like 55 years old in the original Fight Night? If I recall, real fighters like Ali would keep fighting and sit atop the rankings when they were ancient.
My favorites growing up were KO Kings 2000, Ready 2 Rumble 2, Riddick Bowe Boxing and Punchout. When I finally got my PS2, I played Fight Night 2004 to death and I even bought Fight Night 3 twice (PS2 and PS3). I didn't play the 4th and I didn't like Champion.
The original Fight Night with Roy on the cover. The rag doll physics were legendary. I used to get guys stuck on the ropes and hit them with 7 or 8 unnecessary uppercuts when they were already knocked out. Chris Byrd was the best fighter on the game.
you are right, i loved that about that first fight night, you could keep punching your opponent after being KO'd something that is missed in FN 3
Ring King (notable for the appearance of oral sex by corner men between rounds if you aren't familiar with it by name). I just liked it cuz it was the only game where you could actually move around the ring, you could develop different styles to win fights & that didn't have a defined ending to it.
By the time FN came around I was nearly ending my video game playing career so while I loved FN (how can't you vs the older boxing games) it was never my favorite in the way Ring King was my favorite.

It saddens me to no end there isn't a single boxing sim on the new consoles yet. First time this has happened in my lifetime. Any new console almost immediately there are several boxing games.
Yea...i ws thinking of buying a ps4 but didn't bother cuz there was no new boxing games.
Fight Night round 2 & 3. Great games at the time. The one before the most recent one was great as well. Still upset I came in second place in a tournament for my region that sent the winners to Las Vegas to meet Oscar, Mosley and Mike Tyson, and a chance to win 50k or something like that. I just wanted to go to meet these legends. And the nerd that beat me, who I beat in the first round but he got to advance because of a no show, I found out after wasn't even a boxing fan, just a gamer, he didn't even bother meeting the fighters, just showed up, lost his first fight and bounced immediately, didn't stick around to meet any of the stars. Ungrateful cunt!
Damn :lol1:
They really need to make another fight night game with a good emphasis on inside fighting, it was all good and well with the outside fighting it had it to a degree but pretty much all of the games were like rock'em'sock'em robot fights.
Not enough degree to fighting styles that were in any of the games, I think with the advancing of EA working with UFC games this could be a good thing for adding in an inside fighting style but this will be a very creative thing to add it will be hard to utilize you don't want the inside fighting to be button prompt actions you want it to be fluent.
Gameplay = Hajime No Ippo: Victorious Spirits for PSP
Gameplay + Replayability = Boxer's Road 2 for PSP
Even better with a PSP emulator and a PS4 controller.
Fight Night Round 3 and then Fight Night Champions. I liked the storyline in Champions, a lot of people didn't, but I thought it added some character depth to your player. Unfortunately, EA removed some features from the online GYM and so you can't platinum the game.
EA are releasing a new Fight Night video game for PS4 and Xbox One. There's a thread posted yesterday with some of the links to the developer's articles. Can't wait for it.
I still play FNC online, but i dont play the online champioship, just the normal where u pick the real roster
It be awesome if they make a new boxing video game
