UFC's 3 most "dominant Champions" all just got DESTROYED. (Weidman, Aldo, Rousey)
It's a fraud sport, filled with overhyped fighters. Not only did they get destroyed they got destroyed by strikers who focused on boxing.
How many rounds have you fought?
If it were boxing Aldo would have got up with a count and fight goes on , the hammer fists on the floor is what stopped the fight .
Aldo got caught cold it happens , Id like to see a rematch just to see a round or 2 .
Lmfao at anyone ****ting on Aldo for getting caught. The first round is always dangerous. He fought the best of the best and was undefeated for 10 years. He was a true champion. He was over emotional. Conor was disrespectful for over a year and got in his head. Aldo did something stupid (head hunting) and paid for it. Aldo is one of the GOATs. Love or hate mma but he was a true champion who fought the best of the best. No cherry picks. Hope he bounces back
Dude, he looked stupid. You are the first one to even defend him.

He was falling face forward into a punch like an absolute bum

IMO this is also why MMA has a huge fan base because even though its martial arts it is more of a "fight" or something you'd see on a street.
I agree with you. Nothing against MMA but the fans I've spoken to aren't really into the technical side. They speak more in generalities and use a lot of triangle theory lol
:lol1: Fundamental boxing techniques amaze people when they understand them. Most people just see two guys throwing punches. They don't take into consideration feints, timing, ring control, hand speed changes, etc etc

Not quite apples to apples. With mma the stoppage was forced more quickly because he was able to strike his opponent on the ground to force the quick stoppage. If this had been a boxing match, the knockdown would've allowed a chance to get up.
Yup. Let's also not forget that they use 4 ounce gloves in MMA, whereas in boxing it's 8 ounces 147 and below, and 10 ounces anywhere above that.
This is a comment on the fanbase rather than the fight itslef, but i was having a convo with an 'MMA fan' earlier today about the fight. He was saying how amazing McGreggor is and he 'saw a video were McGreggor threw a punch just to see what his opponent would do and then later on faked the punched waited for the guy to react and knocked him out'.
You should have heard the amazement in his voice :lol1:
I was like, hmmm. You need to watch some boxing mate

MMA is for glass chinned meat heads...the talent level is so low.....and the UFC media/crowd is still spewing out the same bs as ever, even after getting humbled time after time.....most recently the so called most dominant athlete ever getting humilliated by a decent pro with actual training on fighting standing up and enough legs to create space.
Apples and oranges. Two different sports, two different types of gloves, different types of wear and tear on the body etc. that being said, mcgregor landed a perfectly timed shot.
Yeah, I just posted the same thing.
People say how he was just running in don't know that unlike boxing if you drop a guy in MMA you should be ready to jump on top and punch him out for a stoppage.

I find it extremely pathetic, White is quick to look past a rematch with Aldo/Mcgregor because of Mcgregor's interest to move up but won't think for a split second Holmes an optional defense before a rematch with Rousey. White is as pathetic as the Promoters in Boxing
Dawson is not equivalent to Aldo. Aldo and McGregor are the best pound for pound fighters in MMA. This fight was Mayweather vs Pacquaio in their prime.
13 seconds is an embarrassment, sorry but it is. I respect MMA, they are tough dudes but Aldo threw a back alley amateur punch and McGregor just tooko a tiny step back and threw the left and KO'd him.
If I was there, if I paid for that sh1t I would be pissed the fuk off. Embarrassing for MMA and more so for Aldo. He was shook from the moment the fight was signed.
Aldo and Mcgregor are a part of a divison in UFC, much like Women MMA; has only been a factor for a few years. Their specific divison wasn't made in the UFC till 2011. So what makes them the best fighters of their sport? I have no clue.
Personally I find it difficult to name a UFC fighter a P4P fighter when they truly never show any interest to show their talents anywhere but were the are 100% comfortable. No pushing any boundaries for UFC fighters
