Floyd fought a drained skeleton guys, Team Mayweather already admitted that.

Middleweight Canelo would DESTROY little Floyd.
Canelo isn't good enough nor does he have the style to beat Mayweather...Canelo is a natural counterpuncher and will always allow Mayweather to set the pace.....he isn't mean, dirty and gritty like Maidana and Jose Luis Castillo, Canelo is a skilled counterpuncher with decent pop and speed.....his slow footwork will be his detriment and if Mayweather chose to he could potshot Canelo to another easy UD12...Mayweather is just better at every aspect of the game....Canelo realizes so, that's why je mimicks his techniques
He has complained a lot more recently.
He's claimed that fighting out of his optimal weight against Floyd was a big mistake that he'll never make again.
FACT: he was weakened and drained. He looked half dead at the weigh in, looked sluggish and weak come fight night. Dont be a ***** nuthugger. this guy cant even make 154, much less a bull**** cw of 152
The cw probably also affected his punch resistance, that's why he had respect for featherfisted Floydette's powderpuff punches. And still Floyd never stunned or hurt him either
I'm not saying it did not affect him, but I am not accepting that as the excuse as to why he lost. Right after the fight he did not, but of course now he will mention it, as it restores pride. I am also not going to defend him for it, because if he he feels cheated by it, well then now he is playing the same damn game, but not by 2lbs, even more.
The 152 had nothing to do with it. Floyd being a great fighter vs a Canelo who did not know how to deal with movement and angles.
Saul "Canelo" Alvarez: "It was simple: I couldn't catch him. He was very elusive. He's a great fighter. I did not know how to get him. He is very intelligent. He's got a lot of experience. Honestly, I couldn't find him. In the later rounds, I felt frustrated. I recognize that he beat me. I tried to connect on him, but I just couldn't."
He never complained that he was drained or weak. He just ran into a guy with so much skills that he never saw before. Even though Canelo seems to get better each fight, up until that point the only guy who had boxing skills that he fought was trout, and even that fight is disputed. He to this day still has terrible footwork and it will cost him again.

That been said, I dont think the outcome would have been too different even if Canelo was in good shape. at least not with the stupid game plan he brought, trying to outbox Floyd with those cement feet of his. wtf was his trainer thinking
why do people kill ggg for trying to fight ward at 164? its because they know ward wouldn't be the same fighter and even if ggg did win he wouldn't get that much credit yet when floyd fights canelo at 152 the weight had nothing to do with it? nice consistency there fanatics

Mayweather is able to capitalise on openings. If you look at the fight, Cotto didn't really punish Canelo for missing or having an open stance; his offence was predictable in terms of when it would begin and end.
Someone like Mayweather will cause hesitation unless you don't care about getting hit. He causes you to second guess yourself which could lead to backing up when you are concerned about closing openings.
Mayweather is one of the best defensive wizards in boxing history. So someone explain to me that if Canelo is not lightning fast, how the hell was he going to time Mayweather enough times to beat him when no one has, even MUCH faster fighters than Canelo??? This fight had nothing to do with weight. The fact that Canelo had to lose a couple more pounds is negated by the fact that he was allowed to gain any weight he wanted after the weigh-in and had a clear physical advantage. That means one thing zeroed out the other and you are left with one fighter who is superior than the other. Why the hell is this so hard for Canelo fans or Floyd haters to understand??? I'll tell you why. Fanboys want to believe in their hearts that things could have been different. It wouldnt have been different then and it wouldnt be different now. One fighter is superior to the other. It doesn't get much fuking simpler than that. It is what it is. But I'm sure some fans would love it if Floyd would fight Canelo when he is 90 years old so they could say that Canelo was better all along, despite the act that it would be a man in his 70's against a man in his 90's.
But back on point. Part of the delusion is thinking that Mayweather ran. First off, he fought off the ropes and beat Canelo. He fought in the middle of the ring and beat Canelo. He fought backing Canelo up as well. Canelo realized that he would get timed coming in, timed on the outside and was not creative enough to overcome the genius of Floyd, just like all the others.
The other delusion is that Canelo was green. BULLSHT! Canelo was a world champion with a number of title defenses and over 35 fights and he fought the past prime version of Floyd and still lost. So if anyone users the word green then make sure to use the words past prime cause you cant have it just one way to spin the facts. If Canelo was green then he had youth, if Floyd was experienced, then he was also past his best years. Those cancel each other out and you are left with the fact that one fighter was superior to the other.
Speaking of green, I'd like some green please from someone for this wonderful analysis.
Well said.
Every pound counts, and having to come in at at least 152 was too much. You can clearly see he was drained as fuk at the weigh in and he was clearly a walking corpse on the fight night. If you can't see this then you're either an idiot or your deluding yourself. And once again I'm not a fan of Canelo.
pac/canelo/ggg nut hugger
:bottle:
next.............
Because Canelo couldn't see Floyd's punches coming. In some of the replays, Canelo would brace himself before Cotto would hit him. Cotto also always seemed to do the same combination over and over. Floyd didn't do that.
exactly...........bingo.

you're an idiot and a not only a canelo fan but a delusional one lol
canelo drained down for hatton, (beat him) canelo drained down for this very fight. the boy walks around at 170 plus if not much more. he's been draining his body for the last 2 years at 155.
he has like 8 catchweights in all of his major fights. how is he able to do this? because he has youth on his side. drain down and then blow up later overpowering opponents.
which makes the mayweather fight clear credit to him. thats why canelo brought up the 152 catchweight because he has overpowered opponents in that way over and over before. cotto is no exception. canelo barely can even make 155. he has to drain down to 155, but his youth makes up for that on the night of the fight.........the 152 catchweight was EVEN because canelo was smaller 3 4 years ago when that fight took place as oppose to now. in fact in his last fight before mayweather he came in at 153......
the reason why canelo couldn't win a round was because of FEET. mayweather was light years past canelo with foot speed and canelo has slow slow feet by comparison (still does till this day nothing has changed with his feet) also mayweather came out walking canelo down. cotto didn't do that. mayweather came out in that fight and stood right in front of him telling him to hit me with your best shot, I'm gonna roll it off the shoulder and then pop you in the mouth while standing right in front of you. cotto did not do that.

Because Mayweather is just that talented!
He was able to stand right in front of Canelo, see every punch coming, block or dodge it and counter with his own shots. Even if he doesn't have 1 punch KO power in his fist, the accumulation of those punches add up. This is what backed Canelo up.
Mayweather also did not run. Despite popular belief the guy isn't really a runner. He moves well, but doesn't run.
the bolded. floyd was just that guy.
I'm not a fan of Canelo. Canelo knew the catch weight was the only way he was gonna land the Mayweather fight. Regardless, he was still drained. I can't give Mayweather credit for that win. Even Mayweather doesn't count that win lol.

Im pretty sure making him a skeleton had its advantages. With that said Floyds fast counters caught Canelo off guard. It's the punches you don't anticipate that back you up ohh and the Popeye IV
