Dan Rafael: Cotto vs Canelo PPV surpasses 900,000 PPV buys

Imagine Cotto Canelo with a Aldo-McGregor type of build up! Oh man, that would have driven the ppv to 1.5 million. Idk if u watch UFC but that's a fight to see bro. And I'm happy the ppv did so good. Great for boxing as a whole. Nah I'm not much of a fan of UFC but Aldo-McGregor would probably do 1.2 million buys if not more. Some reports have it being a threat to be the highest selling PPV in UFC history

And 650k still RKO's the sh1t outta GGG's 97k

For real it was about to be OVER for Oscar if Canelo suffered a loss...however, if this PPV got 900K buys, then that is really good. Especially when the expectation was around 650K. It didn't help that the lead-up to the fight wasn't much given that both Cotto and Canelo aren't very talkative. The "face off" on HBO was probably the worst one they've had yet. He had Ronda on the cover the Ring Magazine, ready to jump start her Boxing career and Holly put that b1tch out. That hoe ass n*gga Hoya was about to start selling his ass if he took another L. I buy the numbers, but idk about the high possibility for a rematch. The fight was pretty garbage (although in light of Klitschko vs Fury it looks like foty). I can't see a rematch myself unless there was a Cotto rematch clause. i agree, if there is a rematch it wont reach a million again, but then you had tvazteca making it look like the fight was gifted to canelo, so they kind of prepared the ground for a rematch ... who knows, but money wise is very viable ...
