Corrales always seem to be a strong candidate and Pacquiao is obviously up there.
So other than those two, what was his most impressive win out of the 47?
I would say he looked best against Gatti or Marquez, but Cotto was the most impressive.
i really don't think pacquiao was an impressive win. dude has been done for a while now. it's a name and a huge paycheck, but the man was all done.
prime pacquiao was literally 5 years ago or more.
floyd's most impressive win without a doubt was corrales. he beat the hell out of a top 5 p4p fighter.
floyd mayweather's longevity is the strength of his resume. few fighters can say they were at the top of their divisions for 15 years, nevermind in p4p contention. his best wins don't stack up with the upper echelon of all time greats. they just don't.
a 38 year old mayweather wasn't the best Mayweather
I agree it wasn't his best win.....I got corrales, hatton, canelo ahead of that Pacquaio win
I never saw how Manny was gonna win anyway, even 5 years ago....going life and death with JMM, who Mayweather whitewashed and also being susceptible to everything Floyd does well....counterpunching, lateral movement, counter straight rights, lead straight rights.....
Manny was never versatile enough to beat him in the first place....the only people that fed into Manny being a threat was the his die hard fans, the media and fans who wanted to see Floyd finally lose....
Over the years, look at all the interviews of pro fighter, trainers, and former fighters who know more about the sport than the casual fans and even the "expert" media, 80% of the people who know the sport were picking Floyd to win since 2008-2009
I always thought Castillo 2 was his best win before Pac, not Corrales. He came back from a controversial fight many think he lost, made the proper adjustments, and clearly beat one of the best lightweights of the 2000s. It was very impressive.

You assume I'm a die-hard Hatton fan all because I personally thought going out on your shield was a lot more honorable and overall provided a better fight and better challenge for Floyd compared to going into survival mode?
Hatton can be a drunk, cocaine addict all he wants least the dude doesn't wear pink crocs and a miniskirt.
If what you saw from Cotto against Floyd was him going into survival mode, and failed to see the quality of the fight, where Floyd himself admitted to being in one of his toughest fights in years.... then you're not very objective and we have little to discuss. I'll take Cotto's showing against both Floyd AND Pac versus Hatton's against those same opponents any day of the week. It's not even close.
BTW, miniskirt? Like they say in forums..... pic or it didn't happen.
Hatton
Both in their prime, undefeated, both on everyones p4p list and both lineal champions, multiple division titlists
America vs Uk...also Hatton pushed him and made Floyd work and adjust...actually brought the best out of him and was his best performance IMO since his days at 130
This was his most complete performance.....illustrated his underrated physical strength, poise under pressure, and ability to close the show
IMO this was the last sighting of a prime Floyd Mayweather.....30 years old and his defense and offense was seamless
great fight and performance
Castillo 2
Canelo
Hatton
Hernandez
Mosley
All very impressive performances outisde of the two you mentioned.
Jesus Chavez win was very impressive as well.
Canelo, because floyd was old, up in weight, vs an undefeated young lion, and basically turned it into a sparring match and whitewashed canelo for the most part
I would also give a shout out to the gattI fight.. While gatti wasn't the best opponent, the way floyd massacred him was mesmerizing and unforgettable
That's pretty weak, even for a Hatton fan. Too bad Cotto and Hatton never met. Cotto would've knocked his overrated a$$ out as well. So you mention the MargaCheato fight, even after it has since been discovered that Cheato was a cheating scum. Cotto later faced him again and got his payback.
But back to Cotto and Hatton versus common opponents. You seem unable to come up with a good response after being shown how Cotto outperformed Hatton against both Floyd and Pacquiao.
Were you one of those pathetic fools singing in Las Vegas before Ricky got his overrated butt KTFO'ed? You know.... that Ricky Winter Wonderland stupid, drunk song? How pathetic, the whole Hatton crowd. Must have stung to have your hero blown to bits. Even made him take up cocaine.

Hatton "did a better job than Cotto"? Well, maybe in YOUR planet. But on Earth, losing a closely fought decision trumps getting your ass knocked out. Let's also look at their other common opponent, Pacquiao. Cotto made the early part of the fight competitive and only got knocked out in the very last round. Whereas Hatton got chloroformed into next week by Pac in Round 2. But I suppose you're going to claim that in YOUR planet, Hatton did a better job than Cotto also, right?
;)
Getting knocked out is better than going down on your knees and pleading "no mas, I quit, I'm your b1tch Tony pls don't hurt me"

My first instinct was to put down Canelo, and I can see the argument for that, but decided to change my mind and put down Castillo II. That fight was a sure risk because Castillo was a great fighter who already demonstrated that he can trouble Mayweather enough to make it a close fight in most peoples' minds.
Hatton did a better job than Cotto, whereas omg Cotto made a tiny bit of blood come out of Floyds nose, big deal!
Hatton went at it from the word go, Cotto gassed then pussied out and tried to survive you don't think Hatton couldn't have done the exact same thing???

Yet Hatton was embarrassed by Floyd, while the "overrated" Cotto gave Floyd his toughest fight in years. Go figure.

Canelo because he was a young undefeated bull.
But Marquez is up there too, that was complete domination of a top 3 P4P fighter.
Mosely was also a top 3 P4P fighter when Floyd schooled him.
His performance vs Corrales was probably my fave by any fighter ever, that was Floyd at his best IMO.
Vs Canelo he was outstanding, he was literally like a fly in the first few rounds, that win will gain even more credibility as the years go by.
Vs Hatton, the was he dismantled Hatton round by round was also incredible.
They're the best 3 I think(performances)
People actually voting Cotto lol, I'd even say an unbeaten version of Ricky Hatton is more impressive than overrated Cotto.
