why do some fighters do this???
if i were fighting id be rocking short shorts all the time.... sometimes it looks like there are fighters who do themselves a disservice because it is extra weight and less freedom of movement.
i saw this with sergio martinez a few times, especially in his last couple fights
just as bad is long hair like lemieux
wtf?
Idk that a few ounces are gonna matter & idk that most trunks of any size are restricting movement at all.
The hair stuff I agree is bad doe. I think seeing a boxers hair fly all over the place when hit CAN give judges a more positive outlook on punches that land on you or on the impact those punches had on you which can lose you points on the cards. I think you want your hair as short as you can live with.
I'm thinkinh the bulk of the weight will come from sweat and water in between rounds thats alot of weight

Same reason why basketball players where long short; because the short shorts run so far up the leg, that it was no longer cool to where the as the sporting audience moved more urban (whether that be to the hood, the barrio, or the trailer park).
You add that women have turned short shorts into a sexual thing, and I'm shocked that you even asked the question.
For style points, but I would think they would be annoying by about round 4 or 5 when you are wicking sweat everywhere. It's honestly so stupid.
On the topic of shorts I really like Canelo's and Oscar's. The old school look is just bad ass.
Mayweather uses weird material but I like his as well. The cuts are so smooth they move like regular athletic shortslso I know he spends a fortune on that leather.
I'd wear my size trunks, nothing bigger, nothing smaller. Small trunks look badass on a guy like Tyson who had thick strong legs. He looked like a pro wrestler.
Forget Mike Tyson. Tyson Fury's little green shots/hot pants were way better.

Damn I wish I could remember the specific fighter (he was a no-hoper), but he had the most oversized trunks I'd ever seen. Think it was the first fight on a PBC card a few weeks ago.

business is box
ye men.
jk, yea short shorts much cooler. these silly fools :friday::friday:
I wear really baggy cargo shorts when I'm out and about but I think big shorts on boxers looks stupid as hell. Makes small guys look even smaller. Money looked like a action figure in those goofy ass threads.
In the gym, I like the type that are just at or above the knee, but not ballooned out or glittery.
For some reason I don't like this either. I much prefer the older looking shorts that actually where 'short'. Martinez came to mind for me too, his fight vs Cotto I think it was? I also remember Danny Williams fighting in really long trunks at times...One of his fights they where literally halfway down his shins.
Looks stupid too me, if it was me up there I'd definitely go for the more older style of trunks, so I agree.
