Ok, now that Canelo said 155 or no fight to GGG and possibly no fight until one or two years from now.
My question, if Cotto win loose or draw vs Canelo agrees to fight GGG at anywhere between 157-159lbs. Will he get any credit for stepping up?
so ur saying ggg needs to grow a sac and fight ward at 168?
No...that wouldn't be appropriate - GGG too small for Ward, 164 makes it fair
Cotto actually isn't a past prime former Jr. Welterweight, he's a prime 26 year old MW therefore no CW needed.
Its ok for GGG to ask for catchweights - he's giving the fans what they want to see; its not about the money but the glory
No.
160 .both canelo and cotto need to grow a sac. If anyone is ok with this than ward should come down to 161 or 162 or 163 or 164 or 165 or 166.
Plain and simple

Both cotto n canelo road leads to ggg. Whoever wins that bout will have to answer to the world if they don't fight ggg. Who else for cotto/canelo if they don't fight ggg? I just don't c it.
Because of his background, the guy use to compete in tough man contest in clubs. The guy is tiny and was tough. At that time there was a lot of tough competition and he held his own he didn't always win the big fights but he was willing to fight anybody. I was a kid at the time and I use to box my self and I was tiny like him.
I get it. Makes sense.
Best Regards,
Zaroku
Bro the thing is the winner of Cotto/Canelo will have to fight GGG in a mandatory fight by rules you can NOT force a catch weight on less boxer boxers agree to it.. All GGG have to do is say no and his the new WBC world champion...
Cotto vs Canelo is not a mandatory fight , even if its was both Cotto and Canelo have agree to the catch weight
I like your list, my question is? Why Haugen?

He wouldn't get credit either way - no sense in wondering. If Cotto beats GGG, everyone will say he's a hypejob.
Hell, Cotto doesn't get credit for taking the Canelo fight even though everyone on this site said he'd duck him.
Eh, what does it matter - its a bunch of basement dwellers passing judgment on a fighter. Got dudes in a coma now - Cotto nor Canelo needs to worry about these guys.
At the end of the day, GGG has proven to be small game - either of them two fighting him would be a gift to GGG
Spoken like a true stan.
Come on bro, the way boxing is right now, you think I guy like cotto is gonna make any accommodations for a dude like Geale?? No. It is what it is.
I'm calling Geale a can cuz after Cotto destroyed him, ppl here said it was no big deal. Geale is a can. Lol so now I'm just going by what's everyone else said.
And Cotto had to drain that can for a fight. Makes Cotto look worse.
Yea and once Cotto beats those same cans(Geale), suddenly they're going to turn into something good just cause a boxer you like beats them. FOH!!!

Golovkin needs the winner of Cotto vs Canelo. If not, he will be awarded the title and continue crushing cans for the rest of his life. What a mega star he will become going that route. Lol probably won't even be on ppv again.
