In that sense Golden Boy can certainly show injury to themselves. It would depend on whether or not the contracts were ambiguous. However, the point is moot because he settled on the matter outside of court. You wouldn't sign a contract that clearly specifies that you will pay $200 a month, and then argue that you thought you should only pay $200 a year. You would have to prove a misrepresentation that overrides the written agreement or that the contract was ambiguous. The argument that he thought otherwise would fall flat in any event. If I remember things correctly, Schaeffer entered the contract on behalf of GBP. I doubt Schaeffer would come out and say he thought the agreement meant something else.

It's not enough to prove that they were damaged by Al Haymon's conduct. If that were the case, any company could sue their competitors for providing a better contract. They have to prove that the damages resulted from unlawful conduct. GBP is in the same position, and I doubt they will be successful. Still, it'll be funny observing how everything plays out.
