Amir Khan was left close to tears after being mobbed as he handed out aid to desperate refugees on the frontline.
The two-time world champion was visibly moved after men, women and children battled for supplies he was distributing from the back of a truck at a Syrian refugee camp in Lesbos – the first port of call for thousands clamouring for a new life in Europe.
They hailed him a 'true champion of the world’ for leading a seven-strong convoy of lorries and vans packed with food, clothes, water, sleeping bags and toiletries donated by fans and well-wishers 2,000 miles from his Bolton gym to the Greek island.

Some of you people think these refugees are all innocent...i'm sure some of them are terrorist disguised ...this was an easy way for splinter cells to form.
Nice to see athletes giving back. You don't see these American fighters giving **** back to there people. Instead they show off there cars and house, and backpacks full of money to sh fue world just how insecure and rich they are.
Hopfully khan doesn't have any ideas of bringing these refugees to the U.S. Though.
Don't worry about them coming to the USA. Khan will have them all driving mini cabs in Bolton by next week, it's the only way he can sell tickets...

Good stuff....this guys always doing some charity work, be it vising hospitals in the US, or serving food in homeless shelters in the UK, or building orphanages in Africa or going to other nations and providing aid.
Apart for Ali, there is no other boxer who does this much work for charity, especially an active boxer.
He should be knighted by the Queen
Amir's got a big heart, he does more charity work than anyone else I know of. Also, to donate money is one thing, but to go over there and actually help them yourself is another. Big respect to him.
This is standard celebrity photo opp stuff imo. (edit: not that thats a bad thing)
In the past though he has spoken out against islamic extremism which took big stones. Potentially he could have alienated certain sections of his core fanbase and even put himself at risk by putting himself out there like that.
Got to give credit where its due
People are quick to hurl abuse and criticism at Khan but never highlight all the charitable work he has done over the last 10 years. He's built a community gym center in his hometown Bolton, Set up a charity foundation, helped people who have suffered against terrorism in Pakistan and now he's gone out of his way to help countless of refugees by going directly to them with food.
Khan isn't perfect, he's a human like every one ele. He's made mistakes and says daft things half the time but that shouldn't be the reason why anyone should hate the guy.
I've been watching his story on his Snapchat. He has done a LOT of work for the refugees. It's really amazing that a boxer is doing so much charity work. We should all join him by donating to the Amir Khan Foundation which will help the refugees.
Who is doing all these tags on every thread?
Stop it, Booty Dew :lol1:

on topic, this things are making me change my mind on khan, i know he still needs to fight, but he is doing nice things out side the ring
